Who’s fishing this weekend??! Where? Whatcha catching?

Just about here full time in Tennessee and managed to get out on Percy Priest for a quick scouting sesh with my buddy! No real size but we were able to knock a few small fish on the head for a few hours. Decent smallmouth showed up with a fight. First time fishing on this lake, beautiful place!

As always the are the choice for me, has been for over a decade. Kept the baits simple with a drop shot, squarebill, Neko and my trusted G-rig.

Personally I love the Champion 806CB for throwing the G-rig, or any A-rig style bait. The new specially designed rod, the DC 794.5 AR is also a favorite of mine, check them out!

Been a minute!! Mad and I went out to blow the dust off the ole Delta this weekend and he kicked it up a notch!! I’ve been working so much as we draw near to our move out east next year and we need to get reacquainted with our fishing roots…. Today was a blast!! Reels on the way!

Well I dug myself into a real big hole on day one. Scratched out 13 on day two with my AAA, Mike. Today, with nothing to lose, it’s all about just going for that day one bite I tried to force. Wish me luck, I could use some!

Slow start here at the Lake Havasu Open! Weather conditions change someone and I chased a bite that has big potential, but did not come through. Admittedly, I should’ve focused on catching five before I focus on catching bigs. Today is a different story, I’ve learned a bit more and I will regroup and still hold out hope for that big bite.

Picked up our new to us, Lance 1172 this week! We outgrew our 995 model so this was much needed!

Days where we have stress, anxiety, turmoil or uncertainty in current affairs… the solitude and peace is always out there and it’s different for everyone … but most answers can found outside, if you take the time to listen and be present.

For me, that is on the water, fishing…. Not So much to answer questions these days, just to reconnect with that part of me that listens to my surroundings and feels the sun on my face
