Let’s congratulate Senpai Meili Urata-Espinosa on making the Senior National Team in the U21 -68kg division !
As one of the first UBAKC black belts, along with her sister Senpai Kaileah, she continues to make history for our program. She is the first athlete from UBAKC to make the Senior National Team and is currently the number one seed in the country, earning the opportunity to represent the USA at the Senior Pan American Championships in Rio, Brazil from May 25 to 30.
This is a huge accomplishment and a true reflection of the work she has put in day in and day out. We are incredibly proud of her and excited to see her represent at this level.
