Bring a buddy to your swim lesson and get $40!

We love seeing the progress you’ve made in private lessons! Next month, we want to invite you to share the fun with your favorite buddy.

We are officially launching Bring a Buddy Month at The Swim Pro!

During the month of June you can bring one friend, cousin, or classmate to join your 30-minute private lesson for one day entirely for free. This is a fun opportunity to share your favorite swim moves and help your buddy see how fun learning to swim can be.

Here is how this exclusive event works:

* The Buddy Swims Free: Your friend gets a 30-minute swim experience and expert instructor evaluation completely free.

* Instant Prize: You walk away with a brand-new pair of our $15 swim goggles on the day of the lesson.

* Tuition Credit for You: If your buddy loves the experience and signs up for a private lesson package, we will apply a $40 credit directly to your account to use on your next purchase.

How to book:

Share the fun of learning to swim! Because pool space is limited, we are scheduling these slots on a first-come, first-served basis. Reply via email to lock in your shared lesson for next month!

Thank you,
The Swim Pro Team

Water Safety

Standing at the ocean is one of the most powerful things you can do for your nervous system. And it’s not just because it’s pretty.
Four things are happening simultaneously:
The sound of waves produces a rhythmic pattern that slows your brainwaves from anxious beta waves into calmer alpha and theta waves. It’s more effective than white noise because the rhythm is unpredictable enough to hold your brain’s attention but predictable enough to signal safety.
The negative ions generated by crashing waves increase serotonin levels in your brain. This is measurable. Ocean air contains thousands more negative ions per cubic centimeter than indoor air. Your body absorbs them through your skin and lungs.
Your feet in wet sand is earthing — direct contact with the earth’s electrical charge. Salt water is highly conductive, which amplifies the grounding effect. Inflammation decreases. Your electrical system balances.
And the vastness triggers the awe response. When your brain encounters something immense, your default mode network quiets down — that’s the part responsible for rumination, self-criticism, and anxious looping. Your problems feel smaller. Your perspective shifts. Your nervous system exhales.
No app, no supplement, no technique does all four of these at once. Only the ocean.
So if you’re near one — go stand in it. Bare feet. Breathe. Listen. Look out as far as you can see.
Let creation do what God designed it to do.

🙂‍↔️No it’s not treading. Though important and necessary overall, treading would not be my first choice in open water if I was struggling.

👌The number 1 most useful skill in open water is the backfloat! Learning to truly rest on your back is a skill that will save your life. Add movement to your back float and now you can rest, relax and recover while moving towards safety!

❓Don’t know how to feel relaxed and safe on your back in the water? We can teach you step-by-step in a safe environment so that you can be ready.

👉🏼Book your 1:1 lesson now and learn this life saving skill from one of our water experts in Santa Clara or Campbell.

Welcome Madison to The Swim Pro team!

Madison brings her love of swimming and teaching experience to The Swim Pro team. As a young child, she had a scary experience in water. This fueled her determination to become the best swimmer she possibly could be and made it her mission to constantly improve.

After competing competitively for several years, she made the decision to become an instructor and finds it incredibly rewarding to help her clients reach their goals and overcome fear.

Her experience teaching neurodivergent clients has made her teaching style more well-rounded.

Her schedule for April and May is:

Mondays 2pm-6:30pm
Wednesdays 2pm-6:30pm
Fridays 12pm-5:30pm

Book a lesson with Madison today. We are getting into our busy season, so book now to ensure you get the time slots you want!
