Beach courts & fields, stand-up paddleboard rentals, plus a splash pad and playground are available to the public year-round. There are free cultural programs, including tours of the Marion Davies Guest House, art gallery exhibits, Audubon Society bird walks, and Beach=Culture concerts, readings, and more. Annual community events, such as the popular "Cardboard Yacht Regatta" and "Polar Bear Swim" are fun for the whole family! Our public pool is seasonal, open daily in the summer, and occasionally on holiday weekends between October and May. Private Events:
Historic Hollywood glamour meets modern Southern California style to create an event space like no other. Flexible spaces and ocean breezes provide the perfect setting for your next meeting or celebration. Spaces vary in size and accommodate groups as intimate as 10, to elaborate celebrations for 400 or more when combining indoor and outdoor spaces. The Beach House is also available for commercial film and photo shoots.

For the past several months, Water is a Currency has asked us to look at something so familiar in a different way: water as memory, movement, history, inheritance, and connection.

With the Pacific just steps from our Gallery, the exhibition brings together the work of seven artists reflecting on the stories we carry through water and the ways water carries those stories with us.

Now, Water is a Currency enters its final week at the Beach House.

Your Saturday morning plans could use a little more water. 👀💦

Our Floating Fitness classes are underway, and spots are filling up fast! Take your workout out of the gym and onto our historic pool for an hour of movement, ocean air, and trying your best to stay on your board.

Never tried it before? No worries! Floating Fitness is open to all levels, so you don't need to be a paddleboard pro to join the fun.

Planning a day under one of our canopies, getting a game going on the sand, or heading out on the water? Here are the updated rates to know for your next visit:

🏖️ Canopy Reservations | $65 for a 4-hour block
🏐 Beach Volleyball & Soccer Courts | $16/hour
🏄 Stand-Up Paddleboard Rentals | $49/2hrs OR $71/4hrs

New rates take effect October 14. Any October reservations made before the price increase will keep the original rate.

Join us September 26 & 27 for Doors Open California, a statewide celebration of architecture, history, and cultural landmarks. Explore the Marion Davies Guest House with free docent-led tours and see historic Beach House artifacts on exhibit for the first time!

Take a closer look at original wood floor detail, historic wallpaper, ephemera, and even a personal item belonging to Marion Davies. ✨

Once part of Marion’s grand 1920s beachfront estate, the Guest House is one of the few remaining pieces of the property and a glimpse into the Old Hollywood history that once unfolded along this stretch of Santa Monica coastline.

Join us Saturdays from September 12 through October 31 for an all-levels workout on our historic pool.

From HIIT and calisthenics to stand-up paddleboarding, each class combines strength, balance, and plenty of movement on a floating platform. And yes, you might end up in the pool! 💦

Spend your holiday weekend at our historic pool! Labor Day marks the end of our 7-day-a-week pool season, so come squeeze in another swim before our fall schedule begins.

Labor Day Weekend Pool Hours 🏊
Thursday | 12PM–6PM
Friday–Monday | 10AM–6PM

🎟️ Pool passes go on sale at Guest Services one hour before opening and are first come, first served.

Not ready to say goodbye to pool season? Neither are we! Starting after Labor Day, the pool will remain open Saturdays & Sundays from 11AM–5PM.

And while weekday swimming is taking a break, the Beach House isn't! Our Splash Pad, playground, Courtyard, View Deck, beach access, and other outdoor amenities remain open daily.

Make the most of the long weekend and we'll see you by the pool! ☀️🌊

Starting Tuesday, September 8, our Yoga at the Beach House classes are moving a little earlier! Join us Tuesdays and Thursdays year-round from 9:30AM–10:30AM for an all-levels morning practice with fresh ocean air and the Pacific in front of you.

Build strength, improve flexibility, and start your morning feeling refreshed.

One more summer night by the pool... don’t miss it! 🌊

Our pop-up Sunset Swim is happening tomorrow, Friday, August 28 from 6PM–9PM! Join us for an adults-only evening around our historic pool with floaties, s’mores, popcorn, and sunset views.

🎟️ Since this is a pop-up, Sunset Swim passes will only be available at the Guest Services window beginning at 9AM tomorrow. There is no online registration, and your entire party must be present to purchase wristbands.

💦 Making a whole pool day out of it? Regular pool passes also go on sale at 9AM, with pool hours from 10AM–6PM. Keep your daytime pool wristband and get 50% off your Sunset Swim admission!

Sunset Swim passes are subject to pool deck capacity. If we sell out, we’ll open a waitlist and text you if space becomes available.
