Santa Monica Rugby Club includes both men's and women's division 1 rugby union teams, plus youth ages U8-U18, competing in the Southern California Rugby Football Union (SCRFU) of USARugby. Santa Monica Rugby Club is a community based 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to the advancement of athletics and community through rugby participation.

Santa Monica hosted the first 7s qualifier of the season at JAMS today. In the semi-finals, the 'Phins lost on a last minute Eagle Rock try, 19-22. Santa Monica finished third for a great start of the qualifier series.

Heartbreaking loss in the closing stanza.

With Santa Monica leading for the first ~70 minutes, Berkeley All Blues come back to tie it up 40-40, then go ahead with three late tries winning 57-40.

Congratulations on a great season for the Santa Monica women, and good luck to All Blues moving forward.

(In the other regional semi-final, San Diego Surfers handled Seattle 35-5.)
