1/11 will mark 16 years that I’ve been teaching. For the majority of that time I poured into teaching in studios with beautiful memories of the energy we created & contained in those spaces. In 2015 I started collaborating with musicians to weave more energy & intention into our practice & knew something special was being birthed. When the Pandemic hit, things changed so suddenly & teachers adapted as best we could, but I quickly understood that for me, teaching through an online platform did not support the connections that happened in a live & in person class, it felt void to me, like an energy vacuum. So I made a decision to step outside the “box” & take my classes into nature where we could feel free to breathe together again & I haven’t looked back. There’s something so magically aligned when connecting to earth below & sky above as we drop into our body & breath . I’ll be eternally grateful for these opportunities to downshift our nervous systems together, in community while being cradled by musical vibrations & the beauty of our desert. 🏜️
