Power training isn’t just for athletes—adults of all ages should include it as part of a balanced program. Your ability to generate power is closely tied to long-term
functional strength, balance, and fall prevention.

Plus, jumping and bounding movements like this help maintain bone density as you age.

The Lateral Bound to Stick is a simple, effective way to train power and dynamic balance. By jumping side to side and sticking the landing, you build leg strength, coordination, and control—all without needing any equipment.

Keep the volume low and the quality high. We usually program 3 sets of 4–6 reps per side to get the benefits without overdoing it. Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Struggling with balance?

The single-leg squat is an excellent choice when building lower-body strength and stability. With just one foot on the ground, you’re forcing your quads, glutes, and core to work together

This simple move can be hard to complete. Use your other leg to help give you a little stability and help get you out of the bottom. As you get stronger, use less of the other leg.
