When most people think about fitness, they think about workouts, nutrition, or the number on the scale.
But those aren't really the reasons most of us want to be healthy.
We want to be able to enjoy our lives.
Keep up with our kids or grandkids.
Carry the groceries.
Explore on vacation.
Hike, garden, play sports, or get down on the floor and back up again.
Those everyday things are what fitness is really preparing us for.
Instead of only asking, âHow do I want to look?â
Try asking:
âWhat do I want my body to help me do?â
That changes the purpose behind your workouts, nutrition, sleep, and other healthy habits.
You're not just exercising to exercise.
You're building a body that allows you to keep doing the things you enjoy for as long as possible.
That's a pretty good reason to keep showing up.
