From the Battle in the Valley tournament at Resorts World Casino this morning. Abbey took 1st in sparring in girls 16-17 black belts! Tom took first in men's black belt forms, weapons and men's black belt sparring grand champion!

1. Say out loud that it happens to everyone.
2. Ask what they'd try differently next time.
3. Let them attempt it again before moving on.

Save this for the next frustrating moment.

We don't lecture kids about respect. We build it into every class — bowing in, listening to instructors, helping a partner up.

It becomes automatic. That's the goal.
