2026 Southern Zones 🌊
What an incredible week representing not only Hurricane Swim Club, but also the state of Louisiana at the 2026 Southern Zones Championship!
We were proud to have 8 HSC swimmers qualify and compete across Age Group Zones and Senior Zones, showcasing their hard work, determination, and team pride.

Want to take a moment to say thank you to Hurricane Swim Club for allowing us to play a small role in their spring training.
We did dryland work and really aimed to reduce and prevent shoulder pain with their swimmers.
To break it down further- we measured their shoulder strength (internal and external rotation) and core strength in early April then retested in late June.
One of the first signs of swimmer shoulder onset is decreased range of motion particularly the internal rotation and loss external rotation strength throughout the season.
A lot of swimmers spend an immense time in the pool. Yes, the main thing is the main thing. Similar to other sports, when pieces of the puzzle are factored in such as your technique, skill, nutrition, recovery, and strength and conditioning (drylands) program- all are essential in your child’s long term development.
Thank yall again for allowing us to play a small role in your organization.
