Hi Shine Family! This is the new business that took over the studio! Check out the sun rays on their logo! Tara & Amanda are starting a massage therapy apprenticeship program. It made my heart so happy to see new dreams coming to life in this beautiful space. Give them a follow and book a massage with one of their students!

Hi, Shine family.

I’ve been thinking about all of you lately and wanted to check in. I sure have missed seeing everyone!

Having a little space these past few weeks has been so good for both my mental health and my body. I’m already down 10 pounds and, more importantly, I feel like I’m finding my footing again. I feel lighter, more at peace, and more in control of my life.

As difficult as it was to close Shine, I know in my heart it was the right decision. I’ll always be grateful for the beautiful community we created together and the memories we’ll carry with us.

I’m continuing my work at Beloved Body Massage and am really enjoying having a singular focus. It feels good to pour my energy into helping people relax, heal, and care for themselves in this new season.

Today I mopped the studio floor for the very last time, locked the door, and turned in my keys. Shine is officially closed.

It’s hard to find the words to capture everything I’m feeling.
More than anything, I’m so damn proud of myself. I had a dream, and I went after it with everything I had. I poured my heart into this space over the last 3½ years. Did it become everything I hoped it would? No. But that doesn’t diminish the incredible things that were created here or the lives that were touched—including my own.

This journey changed me. It stretched me, humbled me, challenged me, and blessed me beyond measure. I found some of the deepest friendships and most meaningful connections of my life because of Shine. For that alone, I will always be grateful.

I’m also proud of something that was much harder than opening the studio: recognizing when it was time to let it go. I’d been carrying so much for so long that it eventually became too heavy. During that time, a true soul sister simply held space for me. She didn’t try to fix me or convince me to keep going. She listened, honored what I was feeling, and let it be enough. That was an incredible gift, and I’m deeply grateful that Shine brought her—and so many other amazing people—into my life.

As I reflect tonight, I can honestly say I have no regrets. The blessings this chapter brought into my life are abundant. The friendships, laughter, tears, healing, music, stillness, and growth don’t disappear just because the doors have closed.

To every single person who ever walked through the doors of Shine: thank you for taking a chance on a little yoga studio with a big heart.

To those who stayed, who showed up week after week, who became family—I am eternally grateful. You were the reason I kept going, and you are what I’ll carry with me from this adventure.

I will miss you all more than I can say, and I truly hope our paths continue to cross—on a yoga mat, over coffee, at a drum circle, Kirtan, Satsang, or wherever life brings us next.

Thank you, Shine. You will always be one of the greatest loves of my life. ❤️

I wish I had taken pics with every person who helped me the past 3 days to prepare for the closing sale, help at the sale, help prep the space for closing & clean. My heart is so full of gratitude for each of you!! You made this experience fun & sooo much easier for me!

I also want to thank every person who came to the sale! It was so heartwarming to see so many people, give hugs, and laugh together! Such a wonderful time was had!

Tonight at 5:30 PM: Ember & Ease with Tiffany—a beautiful blend of 30 minutes of Vinyasa to build warmth and move with intention, followed by 30 minutes of Yin to slow down, stretch deeply, and rest.

Saturday at 10:30 AM: Join Larissa & Robin for a special 75-minute closing class featuring a 60-minute Vinyasa practice followed by a 15-minute sound bath to end our journey together.
