Recently, I took a deep dive into Essential's Google Reviews, asking myself the question "if I was looking up reviews on my business, what would the themes be? What keeps students coming back?" 🤔

I mean, this IS essentially what we all do when we start thinking about becoming a member of something or somewhere new to us - we research and read reviews and make sure it seems like the space and the people will be a good fit for us.

Ya know, a vibe check. ✨

And I'm pretty pleased to say: Essential Yoga Studio passes the vibe check - even through the lens of our Google Reviews! 🙌

I wish I could say I was surprised by my ... review... of our Google Reviews but I can't - because this is the same feedback I get from students every day: in-person, via email, through bi-annual student surveys. So, instead I found myself feeling incredibly grateful, affirmed as a business owner and yoga teacher, and so proud of this space we create together every day! 💜

On Sunday morning, join me for School of Metaphysics Healing Day in support of the Drew Lewis Foundation. $20 gets you in the door AND into yoga at 9a (no extra charge to practice with me!). I’ll have some mats available and you’re welcome to bring your own! 🧘‍♀️

Then, I’d love for you to join us for our next Community Craft Circle this Sunday afternoon with Dalena of * Knotted Hempress ~ Handmade Crafts *! Bring your own crafty work or use what Dalena’s bringing to share. No strings attached, no membership required! MAYBE you don't need another workout. 😅

Maybe you need a place where you can slow down for an hour.
A place to breathe (and let that be enough when it needs to be).

It’s been so long since we had a strong sound bath partner at Essential - and I’m looking forward to this new partnership! Everyone, meet Jo!

Jo is new to the Essential community but has been teaching yoga for 7 years and practicing for nearly 20 years. With 200-hours Yoga Teacher Training, she is also a certified sound therapist creating sound journeys. Jo recently joined our community as a student and a sub on our teaching team.

Jo says: "My mat is where I learned how to be curious yet tune in and tune out at the same time. I have been inspired by teachers over the years to connect mind, soul and body. I bring this to my classes in hopes of spreading inspiration"

Jo is a Kansas native enjoying a brand new life and beautiful opportunities in the Ozarks. One of those opportunities? Sound Journeys at Essential! 🙌

Jo’s first sound bath is this Saturday evening from 7-8p. $30 per person.

Gentle reminder: Sunday’s 430p Essential Flow will NOT be offered this evening - for the next several months, this class will only be offered the 2nd, 4th, and last Sunday of the month as we support and celebrate Radiant Bodhi Yoga School at Essential. 🤗

Additionally, Essential will be closed tomorrow for Labor Day. I hope we all take the opportunity to rest and practice in a way that feels meaningful to us outside of the Studio. 🥰

At Essential, the people make the community we practice in. 🙏

And today my heart is heavy thinking about the abundance of HARD things our students are dealing with right now. 😣

But also: my heart is FULL thinking about the space I get to create and support for humans to explore their depth (and to see BIG smiles and laughter like Lenni’s here!). 🥹

I LOVE the practice of yoga. 🧘‍♀️

And I also love what happens because of it.

The warm (or nervous lol) hello when you walk through the door.
The conversations after class.
Witnessing students showing up exactly as they are.
The students who share their grief with us.
The students who share their joy with us.
And everything in between.

We're intentional about creating a space where you don't have to fit a certain image to belong. 🙌

If you're looking for a yoga community where you can exhale and be yourself, come experience it with us.
