The Hornets take the pitch with redemption in mind and the Young-Elfgin Cup on the line. Noon kickoff so mark your calendars and come out to support the boys!

Even with a forfeit the Hornets were able to lend some players and get a run in with the Celts this weekend. It was a great chance to hone some of our lessons learned from the past weeks and the Celts still brought their intensity. The afters were what rugby truly is about as the camaraderie comes easy with these gents.

The Hornets take on the Springfield Celts this weekend in a home match at Forest Park with a 1pm kickoff. The Celts hosted us well on our away leg so we hope to return the favor with a social to follow at Humphrey’s Midtown. We will see you there!

Rough day at the office, onto hosting the Springfield Celts this weekend.

With an early start tomorrow the Hornets take on crosstown rivals Sunday Morning Rugby Club. This will be a huge match not only for conference standing but also retention of the Dan Young-Mac Elfgin cup. Kickoff is at noon on Central Fields and the temps look ideal, so come out to cheer on the boys in black and gold!

Man of the match this week goes to Logan Boehm. Logan is a steadfast teammate who always steps up no matter what number he is assigned. Appreciate you brother!

Tough match last weekend but lessons learned.

The Hornets look to honor the generations that came before us with our Old Boy weekend along with our first home match of the fall season against the Royal Ramblers. Kick off at 1p with a social to follow at Humphrey’s. Come out to celebrate the past and watch the future!

While Saturday was a huge team effort with multiple members putting in huge shifts, the Man of the Match Justin Alberti put on a proper display. From hitting far above his weight to slotting kicks no matter where the tee was placed, he was everywhere. Three cheers brother, you deserve it!

The Hornets traveled north a bit light and after a sluggish start the boys came together to put the gas pedal down. It was a grueling, hard fought 80 minutes for both sides. Cheers to the Celts for coming out hot and playing hard until last whistle.
