Stocking a hand-picked selection of high quality Mountain, Road, Gravel, Touring & Kid's bikes. We build, sell, and repair bikes of all kinds. We feature NEW bikes from carefully selected brands that offer superior performance and customer service. In addition, some of our bikes are built from a mix of new and recycled parts based on the rider’s intended use and budget....these days demand often exceeds our supply but feel free to ask. Ye Olde Freeze & Thaw Cycle Shoppe of State College, Penna. will be closing early today (Wed 9/16) at 4pm to attend the Happy Valley Town Series: All-Ages Run and Bike Racing at Tussey Mountain.

We are also closing at 4:00 on Wed 9/23 + 30 for the same reason. These were excellent community events last year and we're stoke to see them continue.

Details:
•All New off-road course behind the Fun Centre at Tussey Mountain
•MTB optimized & tame enough for gravel/cross bikes
•Junior, teen & adult/open bike and run races
•Chip timing with live results on jumbotron + web
•No e-bikes permitted; helmets required for all riders
•Rain or shine
•Live music, Food,& B**r Vendors
•Learn about adventure, sports & outdoor groups each week at the Community Expo
•Bring a noisemaker and enjoy full-course viewing!

Our Wednesday Night Rothrock Gravel rides will resume in October, weather-permitting.

Ye Olde Freeze + Thaw Wednesday Night Rothrock Gravel Ride is ON for tonight!

Join us in the far lot of Coyler Lake at 7pm. Plan for a 2 hour ride with plenty of stops to re-group and take in the scenery.

A Gravel-capable bicycle, helmet, light(s), Grand Sense of Adventure + of course your very best PMA are the strict posted requirements.

In other news, Eric + Gretta have been thoroughly enjoying their OTSO Fenrir Stainless builds, pictured here in Maine.

We currently have Medium + Large Fenrir Steel completes in stock for $3,500 each, ready for Fall Gravel + Bikepacking adventures!

..in other news, we recently dusted off this super cool 1992 Marin Limited Edition road bike to display at the Grinduro! event. It was a literal barn find during a shop buyout we did in Emporium, PA years ago (Roberto's Appalachian Peddler). Remarkably, the neon green parts are still very bright! It now lives in our Ceiling Museum Archive amongst a plethora of interesting bikes.

Drake + Abriana have done an excellent job and offer a nice variety of coffee and tea, with great success over the last three Saturdays at FTC.
..in other news, the Shoppe is stocked with a fine assortment of new bikes from OTSO, Orbea, Norco, Marin + Breezer. We've got the garage doors open and it's a great day for test rides!
..Service estimate drop-offs are welcomed for projects big and small with prompt turnaround.

Join us tonight for a special edition of Ye Olde Freeze + Thaw Cycle Shoppe's Wednesday Night Ride...

We're hosting an In-and-around-town MTB ride with our friends from Pedals & Pints and any other off-road folks that are interested.

Meet at the Shoppe which closes at 6pm and we plan head out riding by 6:30 for 2 hours or less.

An off-road capable bicycle, helmet, light, Grand Sense of Adventure + of course your very best PMA are the strict posted requirements.

**BBQ to follow in the FTC Lot -- Veggie & Regular Hotdogs provided -- bring a snack or beverage to share**

In other news, we are pleased to offer these retro-inspired Breezer Repack for cruising around town, campus and other areas. Singlespeed coaster brakes with 27.5" mountain bike wheels is a cool combo for sure. We have two colors available for $750 each.

Ye Olde Freeze + Thaw Cycle Shoppe of State College, Penna. invites you to join us for a special event on Saturday August 8th at 4pm.

Our friend Mike will be presenting a "Bikepacking Lessons Learned" talk, sharing his vast experience on the Tour Divide and other adventures.

In addition, we'll be hosting a Bikepacking Expo and backyard BBQ - food and drinks provided, but feel free to bring a snack to share if you like.

SPOKED Coffee will be on site for the first of many Saturday collaborations - refreshments of all varieties will be available for purchase. Congrats to Abriana and Drake for bringing their idea to life!
