🌿 What would it feel like to feel more like yourself again?

Sometimes we know we’re not quite where we want to be—but we’re not sure where to start.

Maybe you want to feel stronger.
Maybe you want more energy.
Maybe you’ve gotten out of your routines.
Maybe you’re craving more balance, support, or accountability.

You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

I’m currently accepting a few new clients for private strength training, wellness coaching, and private yoga.

Private sessions give us the opportunity to focus on you—your goals, your body, your needs, and what realistically fits into your life.

And many of my private clients complement their individual sessions with regular yoga classes for a well-rounded approach to strength, mobility, balance, and mindfulness.

I also offer Ayurvedic Health Counseling if you’re feeling out of balance and want support creating routines and habits that help you feel more grounded and well.

✨ Not sure what would be the right fit?
Schedule a complimentary wellness assessment and we can talk about where you are, where you want to go, and how I can help.

Every bit of progress is one step closer to feeling better in your body, heart, and mind. 💙

🍂 A little last nudge before early bird pricing ends.

Early bird registration for the fall 6-week series ends Tuesday, September 8. Use code SEPT20 to save 20%.

But more than the discount, I want to remind you of something I love from James Clear’s Atomic Habits:

“Goals are good for setting a direction, but systems are best for making progress.” — James Clear

I think this applies so beautifully to our wellness, too.

We can have a goal to feel stronger.
A goal to move more.
A goal to take better care of ourselves.

But what if the real work is creating a system that makes those things easier to do?

A class on your calendar every Tuesday.
A strength practice you commit to each week.
A place where people know your name and expect to see you.
A little time carved out for yourself—even when life gets busy.

You don't need to completely reinvent yourself this fall.

You just need to create a routine that supports the person you want to become.

And every time you show up, you're making progress—not just toward a goal, but toward feeling better in your body, heart, and mind. 🌿

If one of the fall classes has been calling your name, this is your gentle nudge to take that first step.

Early bird ends September 8 • Use code SEPT20 for 20% off the 6-week series.

Start small. Show up. Let the little things add up. 💙

✨ A little look inside Rooted In Wellness…

I’ve been giving the studio a little refresh, and I’m really loving how it’s coming together. 💙

My goal has always been to create a space that feels like more than somewhere you come to take a class.

I want it to feel like a pause from the outside world.

A place where you can walk in, exhale, settle in, and give yourself an hour to simply be.

That’s one of the things I love about having a small, boutique studio:

🌿 Small class sizes — so you’re not lost in a crowd and I can actually get to know you.

🧘‍♀️ Personalized attention — I can offer modifications, guidance, and encouragement based on the people actually in the room.

✨ A calm, peaceful atmosphere — soft lighting, mellow music, and an environment designed to help you slow down.

💙 A sense of community — you’ll see familiar faces, get to know one another, and feel like you belong.

🌱 A whole-person approach to wellness — yoga, strength, Tai Ji, coaching, and other offerings that support you not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, too.

And perhaps most importantly…

You don’t have to be “good at yoga” to belong here.

You just have to show up as you are.

I created Rooted In Wellness with women like us in mind—women who want to feel stronger, more mobile, more grounded, and more connected to themselves as they move through this season of life.

So take a little tour of the space and imagine yourself here. 🩵

Maybe this is your sign to make a little more room for you this fall.

🍂 Fall is a good time to begin again.

There’s something about a change of season that makes us want to reset.

Not necessarily reinvent ourselves.
Not make a million resolutions.
Just get back to the things that help us feel good.

More movement.
More strength.
More time to breathe.
Better routines.
More care for ourselves.

And remember: you don’t have to do everything at once.

One workout.
One yoga class.
One walk.
One nourishing meal.
One moment to slow down.

Every small step counts.

Every bit of progress you make is one step closer to feeling better in your body, your heart, and your mind. 🌿

If you’re looking for more personalized support this fall, I’m accepting new clients for private strength training, wellness coaching, and private yoga. I also offer Ayurvedic Health Counseling to help you create more balance in your daily life.

You don’t have to know exactly what you need before you reach out.

✨ Schedule a complimentary wellness assessment and let’s talk about what might be a good fit for you.

What’s one small thing you could do for yourself this week?

It Started With a Journal

I have some exciting news: my second book, Personal Alchemy: The Journals, is almost here. I’m finishing up the self-publishing process now, and it should be available within the next month. ❤️

And this is just the beginning.

Personal Alchemy: The Journals will be Book 2 of 3 in the Personal Alchemy series that I’ll be publishing.

But before I share the new book with you, I want to give a little more love to the first one.

Personal Alchemy: Love Letters to My Heart was never supposed to become a book.

It started with a journal.

These were writings I created privately, for myself, as I moved through different seasons of my life. Pieces about love, grief and loss, finding myself, becoming a new version of me, being a woman, stopping alcohol, and all the messy, beautiful, uncomfortable places in between.

Eventually, I realized that maybe some of these words weren't meant to stay hidden in my journals.

So I gathered them together, paired them with nearly 100 pieces of my artwork in full color, and created this book.

There’s no right way to read it. You can open it anywhere. Read one piece. Put it down. Come back months later. Start at the beginning—or don't.

Maybe something you need to hear right now is waiting somewhere inside.

So, before Book 2 arrives, consider this your little nudge to pick up Book 1. 💙

📖 You can find Personal Alchemy: Love Letters to My Heart on Amazon by searching books by Jessica Karpinske, or you can purchase a copy directly from me by sending me a message.

And soon, I'll be introducing you to Personal Alchemy: The Journals—Book 2 of 3.

Three books. A collection of words, art, reflection, growth, and becoming.

I'm really excited to finally bring this series into the world. ✨

🍂 What do you want your fall to look like?

There’s something about the change of seasons that makes fall feel like a natural time for a fresh start.

Instead of waiting for motivation to show up, this is a great time to create a routine that supports the person you want to become.

Maybe that means making movement a regular part of your week.
Maybe it means getting stronger.
Maybe it means slowing down and creating more space to breathe.
Maybe it simply means doing something for yourself again.

At Rooted In Wellness, fall classes are designed to help you build those habits in a supportive, welcoming environment. 🌿

✨ Fall 6-week series include:

• Yoga for Healthy Aging — Tuesdays or Thursdays at 11:15 AM
• Yoga for Core & Pelvic Floor — Tuesdays at 4:45 PM
• Yoga 101 — Tuesdays at 6:00 PM
• Yoga Strength — Thursdays at 4:45 PM

Plus 12-week online Tai Ji Quan classes for both beginner and advanced students.

Early bird registration ends September 8!
Use code SEPT20 to save 20% on any 6-week series.

👉 Choose a class. Put it on your calendar. Make it part of your fall routine.

Because the person you want to become is built through the things you choose to do regularly.

Set yourself up for success this fall. Create routines that support the person you want to be—and take that first step. 💙

When I meet a goal I've been staring at for quite some time, it always feels amazing! My husband and I started hiking the Superior Hiking Trail a few years ago and have been doing day hikes in consecutive order from the southern terminus of the S*T going north. We started south of Duluth by Jay Cooke State Park and have hiked each section and ended at Tettegouche State Park this week. So far, we're a little more than 1/2 way there - about 158 miles.

Last year, due to some health challenges, we didn't progress up the trail at all. We've been looking at the Bean and Bear Lake section which is a longer one and said to be one of the hardest on the trail, and waiting for the time when we felt ready and the day was right.

Finally last Sunday, we completed it! 10.6 miles was our distance with 2200 ft of elevation change over the course of the hike. It was exciting, challenging, and there were a few moments of me being crabby and Corey cracking jokes to cheer me up again. We were out on the trail for about 7 hours together. I can't say I'd sign up to do this with just anyone.

I am eternally grateful to my body for allowing me to get out on the rugged trail in this way with little trouble, and also for having a partner who wants to do this kind of thing with me. That day was a big confidence boost that our bodies were still (or once again) able to endure this kind of adventure.

We even still look decently cheery and put together at mile 10. 😅

Have a great week everyone! 💞🙏💪🦋

There’s something about getting older that invites us to slow down and listen a little more closely to what we actually need. 🤍

A regular yoga practice gives us so much more than physical strength, flexibility, balance and mobility.

It gives us a place to pause. Breathe. Come back to ourselves.

In Ayurveda, our 40s and beyond are often considered a more Vata time of life—a season that can naturally bring more movement, change, busyness and a feeling of being a little less grounded.

And honestly, that can feel pretty familiar.

We live in a world that constantly tells us to go, go, go. Do more. Accomplish more. Stay busy. Keep up.

But somewhere underneath all that noise, our inner selves often know what we really need:

✨ A little quiet.
✨ Time for ourselves.
✨ A chance to breathe deeply.
✨ Movement that feels nourishing rather than punishing.
✨ A moment to settle our bodies and quiet our minds.

That’s one of the beautiful things about a regular yoga practice.

You step onto your mat, and for a little while, there is nowhere else you need to be.

You breathe. You move. You notice. You reconnect.

And you leave feeling a little more grounded, a little more present, and a little more like yourself.

Maybe self-care isn't another thing to add to your already-full list.

Maybe it's giving yourself permission to stop for a moment. 🌿

Your body and your mind may already be telling you what they need.
The question is… are you listening?

🧘‍♀️ Yoga Strength: Stronger Is the Goal

At some point, “just staying active” isn’t quite enough.

As we move through our 40s and beyond, maintaining muscle, strength, balance and bone health becomes increasingly important. And the good news? You can build strength at any age. 💪

Yoga can be so much more than stretching.

In Yoga Strength, we’ll use yoga-inspired movement, bodyweight exercises and resistance to help you:

✨ Build and maintain muscle
✨ Support strong, healthy bones
✨ Improve balance and stability
✨ Strengthen your core
✨ Move with more confidence
✨ Feel stronger in your everyday life

Because the reward isn’t just being able to hold a pose.

It’s being able to carry the groceries, get up and down from the floor, hike, travel, play with your grandkids, and keep doing the things you love. ❤️

If you've been thinking, “I really need to get stronger,” this is your invitation.

🌿 Why Choose a 6-Week Signature Series?

There's something powerful about showing up week after week.

While drop-in classes are a wonderful way to practice, our 6-week Signature Series are designed to help you create lasting change through consistency.

Here's why so many people love them:

✨ You stay accountable to yourself and your goals.
✨ You build confidence as each week builds on the last.
✨ You become part of a small, supportive community, seeing the same familiar faces each class.
✨ You have time to ask questions, celebrate progress, and notice meaningful improvements.
✨ You develop healthy habits that are much more likely to stick.

Whether your goal is to build strength, improve balance, reduce pain, increase flexibility, or simply feel more at home in your body, six weeks gives you the opportunity to experience real progress—not just a great workout.

At Rooted In Wellness, our series are intentionally small, welcoming, and designed to meet you where you are. You don't have to be "good at yoga" to begin—you simply have to be willing to show up.

🍂 Our fall Signature Series begin in September, and registration is now open!

Visit www.rootedinwellnessduluth.com to explore the upcoming series, find the one that's right for you, and reserve your spot. We'd love to welcome you into our community this fall.

💜 Make this the season you invest in yourself—one week, one class, one step at a time.
