Founded in 1986, DanceWorks is an audition-based dance organization that is fully student run.
We have over 80 active members that come from a range of diverse backgrounds, styles, and levels of dance, but each of us are brought together by our extreme passion for the art. DanceWorks allows its members to be as involved as they wish - ranging from dancing one hour a week to being on board with opportunities for leadership and performance throughout the school year. Happy from one of our sophomores, Shivani Mandulapalli. Shivani has been dancing for 16 years, and this is her second year in DanceWorks🩵
“Dance means everything to me. I was lucky enough to have a supportive studio back home that I had always considered my family, so coming to college I was looking for a similar environment. I’m grateful to have found that here in DanceWorks. This org has so many talented dancers across multiple styles and rather than it being intimidating it was inspiring to see how much love was poured into our shared passion of dance. Because of DanceWorks I’ve met some of my closest friends and it has greatly impacted my overall experience at Syracuse. Can’t wait for what’s next, and thanks for expanding my dance family 🫶🏼”
