ISLAMIC CHARITY FESTIVAL | DA’WAH TABLE 🕌

Alhamdulillah for a beautiful day of Da’wah and an opportunity to share the message of Islam!

The Sunnah Initiative was honored to serve as the official Da’wah Partner at the Annual Tampa Islamic Charity Festival, hosted by the Tampa Bay Muslim Alliance on October 18 at Rowlett Park.

Throughout the day, our team distributed FREE copies of the Qur’anband educational pamphlets addressing common misconceptions about Islam, helping visitors better understand the beauty and truth of our faith.

More importantly, we had meaningful conversations with individuals from diverse backgrounds, answered questions, cleared misconceptions, and invited others to learn about Islam.

Da’wah is about planting seeds of guidance, and Allah alone guides the hearts.🌱

May Allah accept our efforts, bless everyone who contributed, and guide those we had the opportunity to connect with. Allahumma Ameen! 🤲

90 minutes for a club that doesn't know you exist, but 5 minutes for Allah feels too long?

We know every player, their stats, their girlfriends...
But we don't know Allah's names. We don't know 10 surahs.

We cried when our team lost, but felt nothing when we missed Salah.

We fill the stadium for those who don't know us,
and leave the Masjid empty for the One who created us.

We gave 2 hours to those who don't know us,
we couldn't give 10 minutes to the One who created us.

That match won't come to your grave. Your Salah will.

Eemaan is what makes it or breaks it.

Eemaan is the basis of all fundamentals of this religion.

Without Eemaan — which is belief — the deeds of a person no matter how great they are will be of no benefit and no avail.

Without Eemaan, a person could be one that benefited all of humanity, helped every single person on the face of the earth, made their life better, was generous to them...

What happens?

Allah might reward him for what he did in the life of this dunya, but in the Hereafter?

He has NOTHING.

Allah says:
وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاءً مَّنثُورًا
"And We will come to what they did of deeds and make them as scattered dust." [Al-Furqan: 23]

Without Eemaan, all that khayr is dust.

Your whole life is a journey to Allah — Are you ready to meet Him?

Al-Hasan Al-Basri رحمه الله was once told: "I have spent my whole life on this journey."

He replied: "You have been on your journey towards Allah all these years, and you are about to get there."

What should one do then?

Seek Allah's repentance for what went in the past. Start new for what is ahead.

يغفر الله تعالى ما سلف
Allah Ta'ala will forgive what happened in the past and will aid you to excel for what is ahead.

This is what the Prophet ﷺ wanted from us all the time — to renew that intention with Allah. To renew the repentance.

Don't wait for 60. Your age right now is your chance. Use it before it ends.

"Allah knows my heart" — Will that excuse save you?

You tell someone this is haram, stop doing it.
You tell a sister, don't dress like this — she says "Only Allah can judge me."

You tell a brother, it's time for salah — he says "Allah knows my heart."

Yes, Allah knows your heart, but Allah is the ONE who ordered you to make salah. Allah is the ONE who ordered you to dress modestly.

What are they doing? Allah wants to forgive them. Allah wants to guide them. Allah shows them signs — but they want to fulfill their nafs, so they give away that forgiveness as a price to purchase PUNISHMENT.

Don't trade Allah's forgiveness for your desires.

ALLAH SWEARS BY HIMSELF — YOU ARE NOT A BELIEVER UNTIL THIS

He told us in the Quran...

فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّىٰ يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُوا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ حَرَجًا مِّمَّا قَضَيْتَ وَيُسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا

No, by your Lord — one of the strongest oaths, Allah ﷻ swears by His own Self — they will NOT believe until they make YOU [O Muhammad ﷺ] the final judge in all their disputes.

And not only that — they don't feel any tightness in their hearts for what you have judged...

And they submit — a FULL submission to Allah.

3 conditions for Iman:

1. Make Prophet ﷺ your final judge
2. Don't feel bad about his decision
3. Submit fully

THE DUA THE PROPHET ﷺ HIMSELF NEVER LEFT

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to ask Allah again and again:

يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ
Ya Muqallibal Quloob, Thabbit Qalbi Ala Deenik
O Changer of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your Deen.

And Allah teaches us in the Qur'an:
رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا
Rabbana La Tuzigh Qulubana...

O Allah, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us.

If Allah leaves you to stray, you will never find anyone to guide you.
لَن تَجِدَ لَهُ وَلِيًّا مُّرْشِدًا

So ask Allah for guidance — because Hidayah, what you want, comes only from Allah.

If your heart feels lost, heavy, or far from Allah today — make this your daily dua.
