“Alyssa is passionate about helping people of all ages and fitness levels move better and feel stronger through the practice of Pilates. She discovered Pilates during a challenging time while navigating an autoimmune condition, where she experienced firsthand its ability to restore strength, support recovery, and enhance both physical and mental well-being.

As a comprehensively trained Pilates instructor, Alyssa is dedicated to preserving and teaching the authentic method. Her approach emphasizes building functional strength, creating balance throughout the body, and improving the quality of movement in everyday life.

She works with a diverse range of clients, including seniors, teens, and athletes, as well as individuals managing conditions such as osteoporosis, scoliosis, Parkinson’s, arthritis, and various hip, knee, and shoulder concerns.

“I fell in love with strength training very early on into my own health and fitness journey. It made me feel capable and confident in a way that I didn’t know was possible, especially after years of being surrounded by unsustainable health trends. Every time I showed up for a workout, I was also showing up for myself, proving that my health and strength were worth investing in and that I deserved to take up space.
That passion for movement and its transformative impact led me to pursue both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in exercise science and ultimately become a personal trainer. I strive to be a guide and help others build strength, confidence, and balance through sustainable habits that will benefit you all throughout your life.
I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, particularly women with PMOS and osteoporosis and middle-aged, sedentary adults. My coaching style is light-hearted, empathetic, and down-to-earth, and I focus on helping people find a fitness routine that truly fits their lifestyle!”

“Hi there! I’m Rachel, the owner of emBRACE Movement Spaces. I’m also a Pilates Teacher and Strength Trainer.
Movement has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it is something I am so passionate about sharing with others. My roots reside in dance, and that classical training really set the foundation for my love of exercise and exploring what the body is capable of.
Making fitness and a healthy lifestyle feel both accessible and possible for anyone is my mission. Physical activity isn’t a luxury, it is VITAL for our health and well-being. That’s why I’ve made it my goal to create a space that anyone, no matter how old or how inexperienced, can feel comfortable walking into and trying something to support their fitness goals.
I want to give clients a chance to ask questions & be curious. I want clients to have the time to practice a new skill without the distraction of a busy gym. I love getting to break down the basics of technique behind a barbell squat or take the time to teach clients the intricacies behind the Pilates Method. Developing a new skill (or advancing one) takes time, practice, and patience... and having a coach to help you along the way gives you both the support and knowledge to approach that skill safely and at a pace that is right for YOU.
I’m so proud to have a space filled with cool clients, highly credentialed & educated teachers, and the best vibes. Whether you’re on the Strength floor or Pilates floor, I’m confident that you’ll be in great hands and will have a fun time! Fitness is for EVERYONE.”

Welcome to the Strength Floor 💪🏼

We have a fully decked-out floor dedicated solely to Strength Training. Our floor is designed to provide an open and welcoming space for 1-on-1 sessions, duets or trios, and small groups that want to lift together. This is a practice that is entirely SEPARATE from our Pilates Floor. You won’t find anyone putting heavy dumbbells on any Pilates apparatus in here. With Pilates + Strength being the combo of the moment, we strive to encourage safety and education. What does this mean? Respecting both practices and giving them their own moment to shine in their own space in a separate session.

Pilates is amazing and can be a GREAT step one in your fitness journey. But… would we ever advise or support replacing strength training with it? 99% of the time… heck no.

What would we recommend? ADD IT to your strength training routine! Strength training is a non-negotiable when it comes to our health, longevity, and quality of life.

And don’t misunderstand… we’re not knocking the benefits of Pilates. It’s simply a DIFFERENT modality that comes with its own laundry list of perks. What’s even better: strength training will IMPROVE your Pilates practice!
