Just a few of the people I got to hang out with this last weekend in Las Vegas. There were still several pictures that I didn’t get, either because I was too engaged in conversation and training or didn’t make my way across the room 😊. Very thankful for all of the training, knowledge, information, and acknowledgment this last weekend.

Meet Dezyon Clark, one of Topeka's 20 Under 40
honorees!

Dezyon is the Owner & CEO of Still Producing LLC,
where he leads a real estate, property management,
and construction company focused on investing in
Topeka and creating quality housing opportunities for
local residents. His work includes providing second-
chance housing for individuals and families who may
face barriers to traditional housing.

Investing in Topeka:
Through his business, Dezyon oversees more than 120
residential and commercial units and has helped
hundreds of individuals and families find safe, stable
housing while investing in neighborhood improvements
and revitalization.

Giving back:
Dezyon's commitment to the community extends far
beyond his professional work. As founder of The DK
Impact, he helps support children and families affected
by childhood cancer through financial assistance, gas
cards, care packages, holiday support and other
resources. He also gives his time to youth mentorship,
the 20/30 Club of Topeka Children's Benefit Auction
and Gala, El Shaddai Ministries and other community
service efforts.

What leadership means to Dezyon:
For Dezyon, leadership is about service, consistency
and helping others reach their potential. That
philosophy has carried through his work as a business
owner, mentor, volunteer and community advocate.
His goal is simple but powerful: create opportunities,
strengthen neighborhoods, support families and help
build a stronger Topeka for generations to come.

This is what I love about martial arts. I met Karel last year in Las Vegas at an AMAA event hosted by Jessie Bowen. We had an immediate connection since he is from my wife’s home country of the Czech Republic.

I reached out to him this summer while we were in Prague, and he and his father immediately arranged plans to drive an hour into the city to pick us up, take us to their hometown, visit their Dojo, treat us to lunch, and then coffee in their home afterwards. Incredibly hospitable like many Martial Artists are.

It was great to connect with them on this level. Very impressive young man, if you don’t know him, look him up 🙂. He even agreed to be interviewed for my podcast on “growth,” second one interviewed, first episode will be released soon. 3,2,1…Let’s Grow!

I had the honor of participating in this “White Belt to Wisdom” book with a superb list of other martial artists. Life, leadership and business, I wrote a chapter titled "The Business of You."

I just finished reading the whole book, and I am always amazed by the synergy of principles and viewpoints of successful martial artist.
