With El Tour de Tucson just around the corner, it is time to remind everyone that the heart and soul of the event is the funds raised to support many local charities. While it is fun to see 10,000 plus riders enjoying the event, it is even more exciting knowing that millions of dollars are raised each year helping so many.
If you are not currently also focused on fundraising, please consider it. Together we can make such a huge impact in so many lives with very little effort.

Another example of the Tucson cycling community coming together to have some fun, support local businesses and ride bikes.

A good rule of thumb: drink at least one bottle per hour in hot conditions, more if you are climbing or pushing hard.
Electrolytes matter just as much as water. And if you feel thirsty, you are already behind. π¬

There is something about that quiet moment right before you clip in and go. Just you, your bike, and whatever you're about to put yourself through. βοΈπ΄ββοΈ
August rides demand a little more preparation than other months: extra water, sun protection, and knowing your route before you head out. π«‘
