Almost a 100 year old Bible.

The best part?

I got it for free at a Christian thrift store after I spent $1 on Joyce Meyer’s Love Out Love Daily Devotional book when I so needed it the most almost a decade ago.

Context: read last Sunday’s post

I have been enjoying the re-ignition I’m experiencing with reading the Bible verses as I stopped because it was difficult for me to comprehend.

So I read devotionals instead.

Now, I pair it with the daily devotional book as the devotional tells a story aligned with the verse for modern time sake. Much easier to comprehend this way.

This pairing has made my Bible journey so much easier and my morning routine so much richer!

I am not a fitness guru.

I’m just a 47-yo, midlife, mom of 2 boys who’s about to be empty in less than a year leveraging AI to live long enough to see my future grand babies grow up.

I promised to share the journey…

Here’s what I’m learning after 4 weeks on deficit entering my 5th of 12:

1- food is the fuel 80% of the time. Not so much the workout.
2- dialing in nutrition is the toughest part of the journey but it gets easier over time and you get better at it.
3- when you dial in your nutrition, it dials in your workout as a byproduct. It gives you a lot of motivation to do more.
4- AI can support your nutrition journey as it saves you massive amount of time but you still have to have the discipline of course.
5- you don’t have to stop dinner with family and date nights with partner because you’re on deficit. AI can reverse engineer it to remain compliant with your deficit macros.

The AI you use doesn’t matter. What matters is your commitment because your AI is a master of computing the rest.

I walked away from my relationship with God after I arrived in the States from the Philippines 🇵🇭 in 2000 without really being aware that I did - I just chased a different priority and stopped talking to HIM.

My first adversity showed up immediately 4 months after by means of a car accident - a personal injury lawsuit for $18,000.

HE tried to get my attention right away.
I can see that clearly now but I didn’t hear it…

In 2008, when the economy crashed, my journey crashed with it. I didn’t hear it the first time so this 2nd one set us back for a decade. Again, I see it clearly now…

I also crashed back into God but at that time I had no idea I was on my journey back to God…until…one day, this book found me at a Christian thrift store for $1 in 2017. That day, the promo was you got a free Bible for every purchase regardless of amount of purchase.

This time I heard HIM; a decade ago!

I started reading it just one page daily not knowing I was going to read it every day for a very long time and it started pulling me back into a different direction; closer and closer to HIM.

If there is ONE book, just ONE that I would recommend that you read to encompass every aspect of life, it would be this devotional book by Joyce Meyer.

This book transformed my life.

It keeps me grounded in my faith and my walk has never been the same ever since. It’s a wayyy better walk with HIM.

It lead me to a business that started me, instead of me starting it that’s now become the world’s largest Friendsgiving festival, Friendsgiving Live® ♥️ where the first ticket is for God so if you’ve ever been, there’s always one empty seat no matter how sold out my annual event is.

I tried doing life without HIM and it didn’t work.

There are certain event in your life that requires you to be fully aware of signals and downloads even without the proper training, education and experience.

If you can hear the calling, you can make it happen.

It was only a one-time intention until the calling came through from some of the women from 2017 asking if we were going to do “that thing again”!

I said if you bring one more woman we can serve I’ll figure the rest out - they said done. So my “oh sh*t moment” began but I figured it out.

And then there were 50 in 2018, 125 in 2019…then the lockdown happened.

Brought it back in 2022, and the rest was history.
