Galaxy Strikes Bowling Center

Look who stopped by to throw a few games at Galaxy Strikes! In between Virginia PBA tournaments and wanting to stay loose! What a great experience for them to pick us from all the centers between Woodbridge (the last tournament) and Norfolk (the next tournament). Thanks Chris and Mika for giving our patrons some excitement from a couple of the greatest Hall of Fame Pros!

Last in our Summer Tournament Series is the Singles Scratch No-Tap. This is the last chance to get in the Tournament of Champions, so if you haven't won a tournament yet this summer, get signed up. Field limited to 54 bowlers!

Congratulations to Megan and Ezra Magnus for winning the Scotch Doubles Tournament! Second went to Bill Penley and Tom Leddy. Third went to Tom Kim and Dale Lion. Fourth went to Michael Heflin and Daryl Spencer. Everybody seemed to have a great time and there was good bowling by all.

Fall Winter Leagues are now forming! Sign-up sheets available near the front desk! Get signed up early to ensure you can get on before they fill up! Info in the pic, details at the center.

Next up in the Summer Tournament Series! The Eighth is a Scotch Doubles, two bowlers bowl a single frame, the lower average bowler bowls the first ball and the higher average bowler tries to pick up the spare. If the first bowler throws a strike then the other bowler starts the next frame. The lower average bowler starts each of the 3 games to qualify. Get signed up early so handicaps can be calculated before the day of the tournament. Handicaps will be the 2 bowlers' averages added together and divided by 2, then that number will be figured on 90% of 230.

Congratulations to Steve Foushee, our first repeat winner this season, for winning the Seventh of the Summer Tournament Series, the Shark Handicap Singles! Second place went to Chris Smith. Third place went to Megan Magnus. Fourth place went to Kevin Matzke. And Fifth place went to Carmen Almodovar. Great bowling everyone! Next up Scotch Doubles Handicap.
