TONIGHT- CAMP RAW INTEREST CALL…⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️
AND……
Patrick of Ireland….things people don’t know (st patties day is more than rainbows, leprechauns, & clovers 🍀..😂):
1. He learned prayer in the place of suffering. Patrick wasn’t raised as one on “fire” for God; he said himself he was spiritually careless as a young man. But in slavery, alone in the fields, he began to pray constantly, sometimes 100 prayers a day.
Your deepest prayer life is often born in your darkest season. Don’t waste your wilderness or suffering- it’s an invitation to intimacy and communion with God.
2. He was rejected by church leadership before being sent. Before returning to Ireland, Patrick faced opposition and criticism even from other believers who questioned his past and calling.
People may question your calling, but if God sent you, trust Him, obey Him, and keep going.
3. He went back to the people who enslaved him. Ireland wasn’t a mission trip; it was the place of his trauma.
Yet God called him back to the very people who hurt him.
True Gospel power doesn’t just forgive, it goes back and reaches as a reconciling restorative grace.
4. He discipled and raised up leaders, not just converts. Patrick didn’t just win souls; he established churches and trained leaders across Ireland.
Revival isn’t just decisions, spiritual enthusiasm, and seeking God as an individual, it’s discipleship and ongoing transformation- conformity to the image of Christ in the life of a local church family on mission.
5. His confidence was in God’s presence, not his ability. In his famous prayer (often called St. Patrick’s Breastplate), he declares Christ with him, before him, behind him.
Your effectiveness isn’t in your talent, it’s in His presence and your yeildedness to His ways and word.
6. He saw mass conversion in a hostile culture. Ireland was deeply pagan, yet through persistence, the Gospel spread rapidly across the land.
No culture or heart is too dark when the light of Christ shines.
7. He was never officially canonized by the Roman Catholic Church.
Despite being one of the most famous “saints” in history, Patrick lived in the 5th century, before the formal canonization process even existed. He was recognized as a saint by popular acclaim and the impact of his life and ministry, not by an official church declaration like later saints.
8. He considered himself uneducated and unworthy. In his own writing (Confession of Patrick), he openly admits his lack of formal education and even calls himself a sinner yet God used him to impact an entire nation.
9. He faced constant danger and spiritual warfare. Patrick wrote about threats, imprisonments, and opposition from pagan leaders and druids.
If you’re advancing the Kingdom, expect resistance. Revival and reformation that impacts families, territories, and society, always provokes warfare and resistance.
10. God didn’t use Patrick because he was the most qualified. He used him because he was fully surrendered.
Adapted from a post by David watts
Real transformation doesn't come from occasional intensity. It comes from repeated obedience, the kind that's woven into the fabric of an ordinary week.
Consistency is Key for formation and growth.
Be intentional in small ways everyday!
