When World Rugby steps back and lets coaches and players get on with it, something special happens. One team develops a tactic, the next adjusts, and an arms race begins.

Case in point: France turned their aerial game weakness into a strength. New Zealand saw it, recognised the opportunity, and made it a superpower of their own.

That's what makes international rugby incredible. When you just leave it alone, the game evolves on its own.

Tim from reckons the TMO Should Be a Glorified Button Pusher

Carley, Brace, and Pearce. Three English refs who let the game flow — and no one complained. 👏

Kiwi refs are the same. What we don't want is what we saw from Marius in Sydney: going back to review something that clearly isn't foul play and spending five minutes standing around while the crowd goes cold.

And then the technology goes down and a guy runs on with a cell phone. Comedy. 🤦

Remove that from the game and rugby's in a hell of a good place. If Tim had his way, the TMO would be a glorified button pusher — just press play when the referee asks.

Simple as that. ✅
