Developing informed riders that transform their horses through biomechanicaly sound techniques

Lunging is often used as a warm-up. Or to take the edge off before a ride.

But done with the right alignment, it's one of the most precise training tools you have — because it removes you from the equation entirely.

Without a rider to compensate for, the horse has to solve its own balance. They learn to bend, coordinate, and carry themselves by themselves.

By the time you get on, the work is already within their body. The horse is strong enough to do the job of carrying you and supporting themselves.

The difference between lunging to tire a horse and lunging to develop one is understanding what the angles are doing and why they matter.

That's exactly what the 13 June clinic with Simon Cocozza covers.

.us I present my homework, ungoogled! If you are not Amanda don’t judge, I’m learning!

1. T3 - T10 to the spine of the scapula
2. Vertically??
3. 3-5 cm or mm leaning towards CM
4. The thoracic traps are not weight bearing because their attachments are on the spine and scapula which are not weight bearing. The only thing that is weight bearing is the rib cage. Remembered that!
5. No, I drew it more correct!
6. Tree point cannot go in the triangle of doom TT, it must be long enough to touch the longisimus and the latisimus
7. The scapula cartilage, not weight bearing, the rhomboidious, not weight bearing because of its attachments, the spinalis, I don’t know if that’s weight bearing because is small, bit I’m going to go with no.
8. The latisimus and aaaa I don’t know the other non weight bearing one.
9. IT IS THE WITHERS

The first Centreline Collective Hybrid Clinic is confirmed.

Teach Your Horse to Stretch — using the Core Release Longe

with Simon Cocozza · 13 June

Here's the format:

Simon goes live with the group online. Learn the geometry of the exercise, case studies, and the why behind every angle. Direct Q&A time with him and with me.

Then, within the same week, I came to your yard. With Simon's online support, I longe your horse first so you can watch the concepts land in real time, and then it's your turn.

Two coaches. One clinic.

Spots are limited. Link in bio to secure yours or use this link: https://www.centrelinecollective.co.za/event-details/learn-how-to-stretch-you-horse-with-the-core-release

Lungeing isn’t the problem. Lungeing without spinal alignment is.

No gadgets. No force. Just the right angle, the right volte, and the patience to let the horse align himself.

When the spine is set correctly, the core releases on its own. That’s a core release and what we’re covering on 13 June with Simon Cocozza in our Centreline Collective Hybrid Clinic.
