The 2026 RCS Rising Star Tennis Championships are officially underway!
The Eastern Cape became the first province to host its district events and a fantastic 96 teams (59 girls' teams and 37 boys' teams) took to the courts across the province, competing for a place in the Provincial Finals.
Congratulations to all our district champions, finalists and participants for showcasing outstanding talent, passion and sportsmanship.
A special thank you to RCS Group for their continued commitment to growing grassroots tennis and creating opportunities for young South Africans through this nationwide schools championship.

CHAMPIONS CROWNED IN POTCHEFSTROOM! πΎπ
The second leg of the 2026 Renault Clay Court Masters has come to a thrilling conclusion, with South Africa's top U12 and U14 players showcasing their talent on the red clay courts at the North West University.

πΏπ¦ Exciting news!
South Africa will host the Under-16 African Junior Team Championships (AJTC) from 21β25 July 2026 in Polokwane, Limpopo. The tournament serves as Africa's qualifying event for the ITF Junior Davis Cup and Junior Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
The action will continue with the African Junior Individual Championships from 27β30 July 2026, bringing together some of the continent's brightest young tennis stars.
Hosted in partnership with the Confederation of African Tennis, the International Tennis Federation and the City of Polokwane, Tennis South Africa is excited to welcome Africa's top junior talent to South Africa for a showcase of the very best of African junior tennis.

The second leg of the 2026 Renault Clay Court Masters is underway in Potchefstroom as South Africa's U12 and U14 rising stars battle for glory on the red clay courts.
Adding to the excitement, players and tennis fans were treated to a live screening of the Roland Garros Women's Final on Saturday, bringing the magic of the clay court Grand Slam to NWU.
The action continues today, with the champions set to be crowned later this afternoon.
Thank you to Renault South Africa and NWU - North-West University for making this incredible series possible.

Connor Doig's impressive Junior Roland Garros campaign has come to an end.
The South African junior was defeated 6-3, 6-2 by world No. 5 junior Ziga Sesko in the third round of the singles event, while his doubles run also ended in the second round.
Connor can be proud of a fantastic tournament in Paris, highlighted by his victory over world No. 9 junior Dimitar Kisimov en route to the last 16.

πΏπ¦βΏοΈKgothatso Montjane's journey ends at Roland Garros.
South Africa's world No. 7 bowed out in the quarterfinals of the Wheelchair Women's Singles after a hard-fought 6-4, 6-4 defeat to France's Ksenia Chasteau.
Earlier in the doubles competition, Montjane and her partner, China's Luoyao Guo, were defeated 6-4, 6-3 by the second-seeded Chinese duo of Xiaohui Li and Ziying Wang.
Congratulations, KG, on another Grand Slam campaign and for continuing to represent South Africa with pride on the world stage. πΏπ¦π

βΏ Leon Els is on the rise! π
Just 12 months since playing his first tournament as a quad player, South Africa's Leon Els has climbed to World No. 10 in the world rankings.
The South African star recently reached the finals of both the Seoul WC500 and Barcelona WC1000 tournaments, with his standout performance coming in Barcelona where he defeated Dutch World No. 1 Niels Vink on his way to the final.
Leon's rise has been nothing short of remarkable.

πΏπ¦A winning start for Kgothatso Montjane at Roland Garros!
South Africa's wheelchair tennis star, Kgothatso Montjane, is through to the quarterfinals of the Roland Garros Wheelchair Women's Singles event after an impressive victory over French wildcard Charlotte Fairbank in just over 90 minutes.
The world No. 7 now turns her attention to a quarterfinal clash against 20-year-old French player Ksenia Chasteau as she continues her quest for Grand Slam success in Paris.
Montjane will also be in doubles action later today, partnering China's Luoyao Guo against the second-seeded Chinese duo of Xiaohui Li and Ziying Wang.

Connor Doig is through to the third round of the Junior Roland Garros Championships in Paris! π
The South African produced an outstanding performance to defeat Bulgarian world No. 9 junior Dimitar Kisimov 6-4, 7-5 and keep his Grand Slam run alive.
Doig will now face Slovenian world No. 5 junior Ziga Sesko today for a place in the quarterfinals.
There was more success for Connor in the doubles draw, where he teamed up with Kisimov to defeat French pair Damien Clerc and Matisse Martin 6-3, 6-2 and advance to the second round.
