To all our loyal customers, followers, friends and the incredible staff of Smitswinkel,
It is difficult to find the right words for what has happened.
Smitswinkel was never just a restaurant or a building to us. It was years of hard work, memories, laughter, celebrations, friendships and people coming together.
It was a place that felt like home, not only to us, but to so many of you as well.
Seeing it gone has broken our hearts.
But through all the pain, the messages, phone calls, prayers and support we have received have reminded us how special the Smitswinkel community truly is. We cannot thank every one of you enough.
To our staff, thank you for standing with us. Thank you for the long hours, the loyalty and everything you gave to make Smitswinkel what it was. You are not just staff. You are part of the Smitswinkel family.
This is a very hard chapter, but it is not the final chapter.
We may have lost the building, but we have not lost the heart of Smitswinkel.
We will rebuild. We will come back stronger. We will create something beautiful again, while keeping the same warmth, character and memories that made Smitswinkel so loved.
This is not goodbye.
Smitswinkel will be back.
