Our Cycle Addict ambassador, Enzoë Ayford, has been given the incredible opportunity to participate in the Absa Cape Epic 2027 as part of the Grabouw Development Academy’s second team! 🎉🔥

This is a very special moment for us because it represents so much more than simply taking part in a prestigious cycling event. It is about dreams, opportunities, hard work and believing in the potential of our local young riders. ❤️

Last year, Enzoë was sponsored by Dryland Events to participate in the Cape Pioneer, and what an incredible experience it was for him! During that racing week, Enzoë met Peter von Praet from Peregrine Farm Stall in Grabouw.

Peter was so impressed by Enzoë’s talent, determination and attitude that he reached out to us afterwards.

In Peter’s own words:

«“I raced with Enzoë during the Cape Pioneer last year and can say from experience that he is one hell of a strong rider, with a great attitude to match.”»

Those words meant so much to us. 🙏

From the beginning, one of our dreams has been to help local kids discover the joy of cycling and give them opportunities to experience the world of competitive racing — opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach.

Meeting someone who shares that vision and believes in what these young riders can achieve is truly special. 💙

As Peter puts it:

«“The ambition is bigger than simply getting teams to the start line of the Cape Epic. We want to keep building a story around local cycling, create opportunities for young kids from the community and talented riders to enjoy events. There is plenty happening in the background!”»

And we couldn't agree more! 🙌

Enzoë, we are incredibly proud of you! This is just the beginning of what we believe can be an amazing journey. Keep working hard, keep believing, and most importantly — keep enjoying the ride! 🚴‍♂️💨
