🖤💛 FIVE YEARS IN THE COMP — AND WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED! 💛🖤

Today’s internal game brought the energy, the laughs and the mateship — the perfect way to put a full stop on another fantastic year of Happy Valley Masters footy.

Five years in the competition, and it continues to be about so much more than footy — mateship, fitness, mental health, plenty of laughs, and belonging to something pretty special.

A huge thank you to everyone who pulled on the jumper, helped out behind the scenes, supported from the sidelines, and played a part in making our first five seasons what they have been.

Five seasons of footy.
Five seasons of mateship.
Five seasons of memories.
And we’re nowhere near done yet.

Here’s to many more seasons together. 🏉

🏉 25 GAMES – JON WRIGHT 🏉

Today we celebrate Jon Wright as he notches up 25 games of Masters footy! 💛🖤

Quick, fit and seemingly able to run all day, Jon brings plenty of pace and energy every time he pulls on the Vikings jumper.

But more importantly, he’s an all-round great bloke who gives plenty back to the game. When he’s not running around with us old blokes, Jon is passing on his knowledge and skills to the next generation through his coaching at Cove. 👏🏉

A great teammate, a quality club man and someone we’re very lucky to have around the group.

Congratulations on 25 games, Jono! 🍻

Today Michael “Fletty” Flett racks up his 25 games of Masters footy! 💛🖤

A top bloke, great teammate and genuine club man, Fletty gives an enormous amount of his time to the club, putting his hand up for multiple roles and always being willing to help out wherever he’s needed. 👏

On the field, he’s hard at the footy, never afraid of the contest and a big target in the air! 🏉💪

He’s helped shape this footy club to the great club it is, both on and off the field with his positive attutide and amazing work.

The Vikings are back on home soil this week, and we’re taking on the Superjets Aflmasters

It’s Father’s Day, so there’s no better time to get around the club, fill the sidelines and make our home oval proud! 💛🖤

Let’s show our dads, our kids and our families what Masters men are made of, mateship, hard footy, plenty of laughs and giving it everything for the bloke beside you. 💪🏉

We want a BIG Viking turnout this Sunday. Players, families, mates and supporters, get down, make some noise and help us defend the hallowed ground! 🛡️⚔️

🏉 MORE THAN JUST A GAME – HAPPY VALLEY MASTERS 🖤💛

Masters Football is about so much more than what happens on the field.

Yes, we turn up to play the game we love, compete, have a laugh and enjoy pulling on the Happy Valley jumper. But just as importantly, Masters Football gives us an avenue to support both our mental health and physical health.
It gives us a reason to stay active, a place to belong, and an opportunity to catch up with mates each week. Sometimes simply getting out of the house, having a kick, sharing a laugh or having a conversation with someone can make a bigger difference than we realise.

This year, we introduced a Social Committee to put an even greater focus on the connection and mateship within our group. Through social events, activities and bringing players and families together away from football, it has contributed enormously to our growth as a team.

We’re not just building a football team — we’re building a community where everyone belongs and looks out for one another.

The wins are great, but the friendships, support, fitness, laughs and memories are what Masters Football is really about.

Happy Valley Masters — more than football. Mateship, health and community. 🏉🖤💛
