The average athlete benefits when you coach to the level of the novice and when you coach to the level of the expert. No one benefits when you coach at the average level.

Make decisions based on the best information available and not on how that decision makes you feel.
Understand The Difference Between The Meta And The Method.
The method is the totality of the factors and strategies available and the meta is the current primary interplay of those factors and strategies. It’s important to know and coach both but even more important to know which one you are coaching.
Just Stand Up 💪
Make sure you don’t fall into the trap of reflexively playing the role of guard player if you also have the chance to stand or wrestle up. Along with Sweeps and Submissions, Standing Up is one of the three major threats from guard and forcing your opponent to hold you down greatly increases the likelihood of the other two.
