👕 Want to make getting ready easier? Start with their wardrobe! ✨

Imagine fewer mornings spent searching for missing socks, less time choosing outfits, and fewer calls of “Muuum, where is my…?” 😂

One way to make this happen? Create a wardrobe your kids can navigate themselves.

And the best part? You can start this even when they’re young! 🙌🏼

✨ Here’s how to get started:

1️⃣ Review what you have. Take everything out and sort it into categories: tops, bottoms, underwear, socks, and so on.

2️⃣ Choose what to keep. For little ones, offer a handful of items to choose from so they can start discovering their preferences. Older kids can take a more active role in deciding what stays.

3️⃣ Create a home for everything. Store clothes where they’re easy to FIND, ACCESS and RETURN. Get your kids involved in deciding where things belong.

Keep it simple. Fewer clothing options can mean less decision fatigue and make choosing an outfit that little bit easier.

💡 Here’s why this matters beyond getting dressed:

When kids know where their clothes belong, they can start dressing themselves, putting away their laundry and taking greater care for their belongings.

And for you? That’s one less thing to manage in your already very full mental load. ❤️

Remember, it’s not about having a picture-perfect wardrobe. It’s about creating a system that works for YOUR family and grows with your kids.

Because when we create systems that support family life, we’re not just organising our homes. We’re helping our kids build independence, too. 🌱

💬 Your turn, Mumma! What’s one thing that has helped your kids become more independent when getting ready? Or is finding clothes and getting dressed still a daily struggle in your house?

✨ One thing I really want to teach my kids? Make movement a part of everyday life.

Moving their bodies matters.

And it doesn’t have to mean organised sport, a big workout or anything complicated.

It can be:

🚶‍♀️ Going for a walk

🛴 Riding a scooter

🤸‍♀️ Doing cartwheels

💃 Dancing in front of the mirror like nobody’s watching

🌿 Simply getting outside and doing something that feels good

I want them to learn that movement can be something they enjoy, not something they have to do.

And there’s an added bonus when we move together…

We make memories ❤️

It’s often during these simple moments that I hear a story I haven’t heard before, discover something they’re learning, or get the chance to talk about a life skill in a completely natural way.

So, instead of asking, “What exercise should we do?”

Maybe ask:

“What movement would feel good today?”

✨ Maybe it’s time to start tidying if…

🤍 You can never find what you need.

🤍 Opening a cupboard feels stressful.

🤍 You keep buying things you already own.

🤍 Everyone in the family relies on you to know where everything is.

🤍 You’re tired of wasting time searching for everyday items.

If you’re reading this and thinking, “That’s me…” I want you to know something.

You don’t have to tackle the whole cupboard, pantry or room today.

Instead, find the smallest possible place to start.

Open the cupboard and simply take a photo.

Clear one shelf.

Empty just one drawer.

Identify the things you’re definitely keeping.

Or simply remove the items you already know you no longer need.

Small actions create momentum.

One tiny step makes the next step feel easier. And then the next.

Before you know it, the job that once felt impossible is done—and instead of feeling overwhelmed every time you open that cupboard, you’ll feel lighter, calmer and more in control.

💛 What tiny first step could you take?

👇 Tell me in the comments— I’d love to cheer you on.

✨ Why mess doesn’t stress me out anymore ✨

A room looking like this doesn’t send me into panic mode.

Why?

Because we have a baseline to return to.

Everything in this room has a home 🏠

Every toy, every book, every item belongs somewhere. So when things are pulled out, played with, and enjoyed, we already know where they go when we’re finished.

And honestly? That’s the point.

Our homes aren’t meant to look like display homes.

They’re meant to be lived in.

They’re meant to hold family movie nights, creative play, cubby houses, dance parties, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with raising kids.

The goal isn’t to stop the mess from happening.

The goal is to make it easy to reset.

Over time, we’ve practised returning things to their homes so that everyone in the family knows how to help restore the space when we’re done.

💡A tidy home isn’t one that never gets messy. It’s one where everything has a place to return to.

👖Can’t find your favourite clothes when you want them?

Ever run out of clean socks or underwear?

Scared to open your drawers? (or struggle to close them? 🫣)

That’s WHY I fold.

Here are 6 reasons:

1️⃣ “Maximise storage”

- storing folded items vertically, instead of being stacked or cluttered in a heap

2️⃣ “Helps keep like-items together”

3️⃣ “Easier to see what you want”

- where you can simply pluck out what you need without disturbing the rest

4️⃣ “Know when your running low”

- helpful laundry reminder 😉

5️⃣ “Reduces wrinkling clothes”

- less random creases and helps preserve your clothes better while not in use

6️⃣ “Calming practice to clear the mind” 🧘🏻

- the repetition of folding can bring you into a state of flow and feels great when you’re done

➡️ Which would be your reason for folding?

We’ve ALL heard it before or if you’re “lucky” heard 2 mins ago 😅

“Mum, where’s my shirt, book, bag?” 🤷🏻‍♀️

That’s why I jumped on this early with my eldest.

I was super hands on to help her create good habits and establish easy routines, when she was younger.

And we turned boring daily tasks into games she could enjoy (like matching socks, finding patterns or shooting toys into baskets).

Investing time in building their skills helps them learn how to observe what needs doing, not just waiting to be told.

Because taking care of the home and our things is not a mum job, but an everyone task.

🏠 Whether you have a 4 or 10 year old, it all starts with going through their belongings and finding a home for them.

You decide how much you want to involve them.

1️⃣ Choose what sparks joy ✨ what is still important, or has a purpose in your lives today- one by one.

2️⃣ Find a designated spot for them, keeping like with like, and accessible to those who use it.

If you’re strapped for time but want to make a change now, start SMALL.

Tidy just ONE category like clothes, stationary or toys (whichever is easier to make progress with).

It can be challenging starting something new with your kids.

Once they have an easy system they can follow, it helps fosters their independence and saves you loads of work later on.

More time and energy back to you 🙌🏼

Why mums hate laundry 🫠

The piles never end.

There’s always too much to sort.

And somehow everyone relies on YOU to know where everything is.

Most nights, you’re folding clothes while everyone else sleeps… when you should be sleeping too.

That’s why I changed how I approach laundry.

Now, instead of focusing on the whole mountain, I focus on the next small step:

✔️ Empty the basket

✔️ Sort clothes by family member

✔️ Group like items together

✔️ Hang or fold

✔️ Put away

And the biggest shift?

I stopped treating laundry like a “mum job.”

My family now helps sort, fold, hang clothes, and put things away during the day. Even my eldest Nina offers to help 🥹

What used to feel overwhelming has become time together — chatting about our day while we work as a team.

If folding and putting clothes away feels impossible right now, don’t worry. I’ve got upcoming videos to help make it simpler 🤍

What’s one of the steps your family could help with?

I haven’t shown up on here in a while… because life got full.

Like really full.
________________

Hi, I’m Jen 👋🏼

Mum of two, and creator of .

Between a newborn, a growing family, and the day-to-day juggle of running a home, I found myself in the same place so many mums are in…

Trying to stay on top of everything.

Feeling like the “family directory.”

Knowing where everything is (or at least being expected to).

And constantly resetting the house just to keep things moving.

And here’s the thing I’ve realised…

It’s not just about having a tidy home.

It’s about walking into a space and feeling calm.

It’s about knowing where things are without the stress.

It’s about not buying something you already own (again).

It’s about your family actually knowing how to function without everything falling back on you.

That’s why I’m here.

I help mums create simple, realistic systems so their homes feel:

• lighter
• calmer
• easier to manage

without perfection, and without it all sitting on their shoulders.

Because when your home works,

you get your time, energy and headspace back.

And that changes everything 🤍

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed in your home lately… you’re not alone.

I’m excited to be back and sharing more of what’s been working, what hasn’t, and how we can make life at home feel just that little bit easier.
