There are five words that often reveal a hidden part of yourself:
“I would never do that...”
The moment you hear yourself saying those words, pay attention.
The shadow isn’t simply the parts of ourselves we dislike.
It’s also the parts we’ve rejected, denied, suppressed, or decided could never be us.
The person who says, “I would never be that selfish,” may struggle to set healthy boundaries.
The person who says, “I would never be that arrogant,” may be hiding their own greatness.
The person who says, “I would never do that,” is often pointing directly toward something unconscious that wants to be explored.
In this way what we judge most harshly in others can become a mirror.
Not because we are exactly the same.
Because there is often a lesson, a wound, a fear, a strength, or a forgotten part of ourselves hidden beneath the reaction.
The good news is your awareness changes everything. The more conscious you become of your words, the more conscious you become of yourself.
And the more conscious you become of yourself, the more empowered your life becomes.

Being spiritual is being authentic.
You don’t need to do yoga, meditate, or drink your own urine to know the divine within.
And though I practice all of these, the one thing I think you need most in this life is patience.
For others, yes. But for yourself mostly.
I’ve learned to be patient with people mainly because I’ve made most of the mistakes you can make in life. I’ve behaved in ways I often wish I could forget.
But I understand that life is for living and learning. So having compassion for others is actually having compassion for myself.
When I remember the times I acted selfishly—from fear, ignorance, or misguided passion—it’s easier to forgive others for doing the same. Those times I said things I regret, made promises I broke, or just plain lied. I’m not proud of those times, but owning them, I can transcend them and adjust my behaviour accordingly.
Plus, the more I practice forgiveness, the better I get at it.
Sometimes I think I might have even experienced moments of instant forgiveness—a moment of clarity when I don’t take any offence or absorb any of the aggravation before me. I simply remember: this was me once.
Maybe it is me now.
Driving someone else—a more enlightened soul—mad with my current level of evolving consciousness.

I heard this affirmation today while doing incline walks at the gym—from the Feeling Secure BAM in my My Perfect Body Now program (from Your Empowered Path on Skool)—and it really resonated today.
Because here’s the truth most diets won’t tell you:
Your word diet is shaping your body more than your food diet.
You can eat perfectly clean and still stay stuck if you’re feeding yourself poison with your words.
“I’m so fat.”
“I’ll never lose this weight.”
“My body is broken.”
“I hate how I look.”
Your subconscious doesn’t know you’re venting. It thinks you’re giving instructions. And it obeys. Every. Single. Word.
So while you’re counting calories, your subconscious is counting on the words you repeat about yourself to be true.
What if you changed what you’re feeding yourself?
Not the food. The words.
What if instead of:
“I’m so fat” → “I am my perfect weight now”
“I hate my body” → “I love my body exactly as it is”
“I’ll never change” → “I am changing every single day”

What part of your life are you unhappy with?
If there is an area of your life that feels less than ideal, the most helpful thing to know is that you are choosing it.
Why is that helpful?
Because it means you are free to choose to change it.
It also helps to know that the reason you are choosing a less-than-ideal experience in some aspect of your life is because part of you believes that is the safest and therefore best experience for you.
That part of you is your subconscious. And your subconscious has been following a program since childhood, updated a little through your young adult years, but then pretty much set.
The good news is you can change your own programming by changing the words you use to describe your life.
When you change your habitual way of speaking about your life, you change your life—because your subconscious is that powerful. It responds to repetition.
And you can start to make that change right now.
As you affirm:
“It is safe to be me.”
“I am allowed to be happy in the way I choose.”
“Every part of my life is getting better and better every day.”
