Just over two weeks to go until Round 3 of the 2026 AusCycling Queensland Cyclocross State Series hits Bangalow Showgrounds, hosted by Byron Bay Cycling Club.

Racing for everyone from Balance Bikes to A Grade, plus Opens if you want to race whatever bike you’ve got. No CX bike? No problem.

Course opens 10:00am, racing from 11:00am to 3:15pm. Age groups based on 2026 ages.

Lock it in, bring your crew, and get ready for a big day of cyclocross.

Byron Bay Cycling Club is bringing the heat with Round 3 of the 2026 AusCycling Queensland Cyclocross State Series at Bangalow Showgrounds!

From Balance Bikes to A Grade, there’s a race for everyone — and no, you don’t need a fancy cyclocross bike. Got a bike? You’ve got a race. Jump into Opens and send it.

🗓 Race day schedule:
Course opens: 10:00am
Racing: 11:00am – 3:15pm

All age groups based on your 2026 age.

Expect fast laps, good vibes, and proper grassroots racing in one of the best venues on the circuit.

The QLD CX State series is returning to Bangalow for round three hosted by Byron Bay Cycle club.
If last year is anything to go by it will be a day of proper CX fun. 
Mud technical sections tight racing and full send cornering May last year‘s course one people were talking about long after the tape came down with some season CX veterans calling it the best course in the series! 
Whether you are chasing series points lining up for your first C x-ray so just keen for a winter hit out with good people this one is worth the trip.

After an epic event last year with massive fields, classic muddy conditions and riders from all over Queensland and Northern NSW, Byron Bay Cycle Club is proud to host Round 3 of the 2026 AusCycling Queensland Cyclocross State Series at the Bangalow Showgrounds.

Sunday June 14.
And yes… we’re hoping for another proper CX day. 🌧️🔥

Whether you’re racing hard in A Grade, trying CX for the very first time, bringing the kids for Little Crossers, or just keen for a fun day around bikes and good people — this event is for you.

No fancy bike needed for most grades.
MTB? Gravel bike? Old bike in the shed? Bring it.

Last year the atmosphere was unreal:

✔️ Spectators lining the course
✔️ Slippery corners and muddy run-ups
