The report for the ACT Legislative Assembly “Inquiry into Skateboarding and Skate Parks in the ACT” has finally been released! It has 33 recommendations and a lot of them are exciting. If you’re a skateboarder or skate park user in Canberra, you should read it! This inquiry came about after many years of advocacy and lobbying for better skateboarding infrastructure and a more skate-friendly Canberra. We’re looking forward to hearing the government response to the recommendations. We will have more to say ourselves when we’ve digested it all. Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen! 🛹❤️

ACT Gov let us know that Tuggeranong skatepark is getting a concrete resurface in the coming weeks. We’re still lobbying hard for a new skatepark, but in the meantime this should make it a smoother ride. Please be mindful of the workers once they get started.
