Tuggeranong parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am at Lake Tuggeranong. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Tuggeranong parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am starting Feb 23 2013 in Tuggeranong, Canberra. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! General information
Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun here. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

Ahoy, mateys! What a bonza morning on the shores of Lake Tuggeranong for our International Talk Like a Pirate Day parkrun.

A mighty crew of 19 volunteers helped steer the ship. Thank you for making parkrun happen every week.

We welcomed visitors, first timers and returning buccaneers to our course, and gave three hearty cheers to Bron Adams, who celebrated the incredible milestone of 250 parkruns. Congratulations, Bron!

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who ran, jogged, walked, volunteered, spectated and shared the path with kindness and respect. Together you made today’s event a voyage to remember.

This Saturday, we’re having some fun and celebrating International β€˜Talk Like a Pirate Day’! βš“οΈ 🦜

Come dressed in your finest pirate gear to run, jog, walk or sail yourself around the course πŸ€—

Be ready to:
πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ Talk like a pirate ☠️ Dust off your pirate hat πŸ‘οΈβ€πŸ—¨οΈ Wear an eye patch πŸŽ€ Don a bandanaπŸ‘• or Rock a striped shirt

But don’t worry .. pirate dress-up is encouraged but NOT required! Just bring your usual parkrun spirit and perhaps a little β€œARRRRR!” for good measure.

So, start planning, gather your crew, practise your best pirate voice and join us for a bit of parkrun fun this Saturday.
