💛💙🏆 Success at Moama!
Two ACT teams have returned from the prestigious Moama Ladies Premier Pairs with outstanding performances against some of the best bowlers in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
For the first time, the ACT was invited to compete in this highly regarded invitation-only event, featuring State Champions, Australian Open Champions, Australian Jackaroos representatives and Commonwealth Games medallists.
Representing the ACT were Jenny Clout & Ruth Moore and Kelli Cartledge & Nicole Mengel, with both teams embracing the opportunity to test themselves against elite opposition.
- Jenny and Ruth produced an exceptional tournament, winning 7 of their 8 games to finish an outstanding 4th overall, narrowly missing a podium finish.
- Kelli and Nicole also performed strongly throughout the week, finishing an impressive 24th against a quality field.
Even better, both ACT teams secured invitations to return next year by finishing inside the tournament's top 30. These results showcase the strength of women's bowls in the ACT and the ability of our representatives to compete successfully on the national stage.
Congratulations to our ACT representatives on their outstanding performances. We look forward to seeing them back at Moama next year!
