🌴✨ Bri’s Gold Coast Respite Adventure! ✨🌴

Last weekend, Bri enjoyed a short but fun-filled respite getaway to the Gold Coast! 💕🏖️

Bri has shared a little about her trip — and the best part is, she wrote it herself! 🥰👇

“Thank you Complete for organising this wonderful holiday and thank you to my amazing support worker Jasmin for taking me away on this amazing trip to the Gold Coast.

I just wanna start off by saying it was such a beautiful time away. I had so much fun! Some of my favourite things were going to my second Rabbitohs game and seeing my friend Candice, going to the shops up there and getting to try Taco Bell and Starbucks for the first time! ☕🌮

And the best thing about the Rabbitohs game is that we won! 🐰💚❤️ Couldn’t be more proud!”

What an amazing few days, Bri! From cheering on the Rabbitohs 🐰❤️💚, catching up with friends, exploring the shops and trying new things, it sounds like you packed plenty of fun into your getaway!

🌱 Spotted in our activity space this week! 🌱

Our participants Susan, Kiarra and Brianna have been getting creative while enjoying a fun new craft activity – making their very own ‘grass heads’! 🧑‍🎨🌿

This exciting activity was a great opportunity to build capacity by following clear instructions, trying something new, and letting their creativity run free as they came up with some unique and colourful decorations – all with the support of their amazing support workers.

The activity doesn’t stop there! 🌱 The participants will now learn how to care for their grass heads by understanding their watering needs and watching their creations grow. They’ll be eagerly waiting for the “hair” to sprout so they can give their grass heads their very own haircuts! ✂️😂

Well done to Kiarra on completing this amazing 500-piece 3D panda puzzle! 👏

Kiarra has spent the last few weeks working on this puzzle in our activity space whenever she had some spare time in her schedule, showing incredible patience, determination and problem-solving skills along the way. 💪🧩

The puzzle definitely had its challenges! Being 3D, the lighting made it difficult to see at times, and Kiarra even came up with a clever solution by turning the pieces over to join them without the 3D effect. What fantastic problem-solving! 👏

We’re very excited to welcome Cate to the Complete Support & Co. team as our new Operations Manager! 🩷

Recently relocating from Sydney, Cate brings experience across both direct support work and the administrative and operational side of the disability support sector. Having worked closely with participants as well as behind the scenes, she understands just how important thoughtful communication, consistency and quality support are.

Cate will be available Monday to Friday and is always happy to assist with any questions, feedback, concerns or anything else you may need support with.

She’ll be working closely with our entire team to help ensure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly and, most importantly, that our participants continue to receive the quality, compassionate and person-centred support they deserve. 🌸

🍝 Cooking Skills & Building Independence 🍝

Bri loves to cook, and one of her specialities is lasagna! ❤️

Here she is making a delicious pork lasagna, and she absolutely nailed every step from start to finish. From preparing the ingredients and assembling the layers to getting it into the oven, Bri handled it all beautifully. 👏

There’s something pretty special about seeing a beautiful lasagna come out of the oven and enjoying those amazing smells throughout the kitchen… but even better is knowing the family gets a night off cooking and can sit down together and enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal! 🥰

Well done, Bri! Your cooking skills are certainly something to be proud of! 👩‍🍳✨
