Last, but definitely not least...

Let's say a Big Hello to Captain!

There's a new big guy on the block!
Although not quite as tall as Atlas, he's not far off. Standing at 17hh he definitely cuts an impressive figure, but for every hand he is tall - he is equally as kind!
With such a kind, sweet and gentle disposition we are hopeful to welcome him to our team.
Perhaps one day he will take over for our old boy, Ida 💛

Here's a warm welcome to Sundance!

Sundance is the half brother to Mate, Fancy & Crackerjack. He is a big Gentle Giant and we are excited to bring him on and start his training.
He's a sweet but shy boy, and is taking a little while to adjust and settle in to seeing so many new people!
We will give him the time that he needs and will be bringing him on slowly to ensure we build up a solid foundation based on trust and understanding 🧡

Lets take a moment to welcome Thunder!

This horse is close to my heart and he's a special addition to the stables.
He is our Sassy "baby". The recent passing of Sassy is still fresh in our hearts, and it is an honour to be able to bring her last baby up here to start his education and ridden career.
He is sweet and inquisitive with a gentleness no doubt passed down from his Mama, he's just beginning his journey but he definitely has some big shoes to fill! 🩵

If you have a queesy tummy, scroll on.

For those of you like me, who love to see the progress of wounds healing - here you go!
Almost 4 weeks of healing and Crackerjack's leg is coming along nicely. He still has a long way to go, but he's being a good Patient.
Injuries like these almost always look worse before they start looking better, Isn't it amazing how much wounds can change over time?

Everyone say Hello to Crackerjack!

This guy is the reason we were delayed coming home. He had a pretty disastrous misadventure with some panels and He is currently in sick bay until his leg recovers, but he is recovering well and heading in the right direction.
Crackerjack is cheeky and affectionate, he is quickly adjusting to life at the stables and is the first horse to call out when I arrive.
Liana has apparently layed claim and runs around calling him "my red horse" - he's just as smitten with her 💚

A little recap for the past month, as you know we were away for a few weeks taking the retirees down to their new paddock! Yay!

But while we were there we were also working on a few new horses, who have made the Journey back up to Emerald with us! So I have a few new faces to introduce you all to shortly.

It's been a bitter sweet couple of months with health issues, Sassy's passing and some gnarly injuries.
Then the girls and I caught the dreaded flu last weekend so we have been laying low this week but we are excited to catch up, get back into it and to introduce you all to everyone!

Bring on term 4!

September has been a bit of a chaotic month for us, with more bad than good news but fortunately I can share a little bit of happy news with you all!

A few of our oldies have retired permanently now, and have made the trip down to MUCH greener pastures to enjoy their retirement 💚💚💚

Farewell Huffy, Jack & Trojan!
Safe to say they are absolutely loving their new paddock, with green grass as far as the eye can see!

Just going to place this here for anyone wondering what type shoes we need to wear for horse riding!
