Another big weekend awaits for the Giants.

Our GFNL sides hit the road this weekend as we travel to Colac.

Our GDFNL teams are back at home taking on North Geelong.

We wish all players, coaches, volunteers and supporters the very best of luck. Play hard, support your teammates and represent the Giants with pride.

Women’s and All Abilities Football have the weekend off, but there is still plenty of Giants action to get around. Catch our GDFNL sides at home as they take on North Geelong, while our GFNL teams hit the road to face Colac.

Roxie Bennett OAM a master life coach, radio personality, key note speaker as our special MC for our event, Ange Hilton former TV presenter, counsellor and meditation coach from Destination Happiness , Rhyll Brinsmead Australian women’s golf coach, Luke Maher Manager Sport Rec and Health who works with Tackle Your Feelings and our very own Paul Eastman GFNL President.

Together, we can build a stronger, healthier and more connected community.

Congratulations to Elisha Sacchetta, who runs out for her 100th game this weekend!

This milestone is a special one for so many reasons. Lish will play her 100th game on the same court where she ruptured her Achilles, turning what was a really tough moment in her netball journey into something worth celebrating. Coming back from an injury like that is never easy, but she has put in the work, stayed committed, and now gets to mark an incredible milestone in a pretty meaningful way.

On court, Elisha is a brilliant shut-down defender. With her long arms, constant pressure, and ability to make attackers second guess themselves, she is an intimidating presence in defence and a nightmare to play against. She works hard, reads the play well, and brings a level of pressure that lifts everyone around her.

Lish's impact goes well beyond what she does on court. She is on the Executive Committee, is the GFNL Netball Umpire Coordinator, runs our club events, and gives so much of her time and energy to making the club better. She is one of those people who is always doing more than people realise, and our club is better for having her in it.

Whether she is playing, supporting from the sidelines, organising behind the scenes, or hyping up her teammates, Elisha shows up for her club and her people every single week. Congratulations, Elisha. 100 games is an amazing achievement and so very well deserved!

A huge congratulations to Bree on reaching her 100-game milestone with Geelong West.

Bree has been such a crucial part of our senior grades for many years. She is a talented, reliable teammate who always gives her all on the court while being there to support everyone around her on game day.

Not only is she an important player, but an all-round great club person whose positivity, commitment, and team-first attitude make her such a valued part of the Giants family.

Congratulations to Alana Honner, who runs out for her 50th game this weekend!

Larns is the kind of defender every team loves having and every opposition hates coming up against. She works incredibly hard for everything she earns, and that effort shows every time she steps on court. She is a tenacious, pesty defender who never drops her head, keeps applying pressure, and is always hunting for the next turnover.

Very well deserved!

Congratulations to Noah Nelson, Theo McKenna and Bobby McBride who all played their 50th games last weekend. All three are valued by their teammates and are assets on and off the footy field. Congratulations boys and good luck to your U12 teams this weekend.

A further congratulations to Archer Stewart on playing his 50th game this weekend! Archer is a tough, hard working utility who is getting better and better every week. Well done Archer!
