⚽🎉 GJSA WIND-UP – SUNDAY 6 SEPTEMBER! 🎉⚽

It’s time to celebrate another fantastic junior soccer season! 💙

Sunday 6 September will be the final day for our U7s, U9s and U10s, and we’ll be finishing the season with a little something for our junior players.

🏅 Medals for all U7, U9, U10 & U11 teams
🧃 Juice box for every player
🍟 Packet of chips for every player

Coaches to bring their teams up to the club house at La Fiamma after their game to collect the medals, chips and drinks.

Our U11's, U13's, U15's and U17's will continue with their knock-out cup competition. Final games for U11's, U13's and U15's to be played on 20 Sept.

A big thank you to all our players, coaches, volunteers, families and clubs for another wonderful season of junior soccer.

What a fantastic couple of weeks for our U9 team! 💚

After showing plenty of resilience, determination and teamwork throughout the season, the team celebrated their first win last week — and then backed it up with another great win again this week! 🙌

We’re incredibly proud of the way these young Lions continue to learn, support each other and keep giving their best every time they take the field.

Strath Lions FC Mid-Season Update – Building More Than Football

As we are over the halfway point of the season, it’s a fantastic opportunity to reflect on what has already been an outstanding year for Strath Lions Football Club. While results on the field are encouraging, what we’re most proud of is seeing our players grow in confidence, character and their love for the game.

Our Under 15s continue to lead the way, sitting proudly on top of the league ladder. Their success is built on far more than talent—it reflects their humility, teamwork, commitment and passion for the game. They have become wonderful role models for our younger players, demonstrating that success comes from hard work, respect and playing for each other.

Friday nights have become a highlight of the week thanks to our exciting Under 17s. Their matches are fast-paced, competitive and full of energy, providing fantastic entertainment to kick-start the weekend. The team continues to develop each week, and it’s been wonderful to see the support they receive from families and the wider community.

Across the club, our Under 13s, Under 11s, Under 9s and Under 7s have embraced the season with enthusiasm. Every training session and game presents another opportunity to learn new skills, build friendships and grow in confidence. Watching our youngest players develop both on and off the pitch is a reminder of what junior football is all about.

None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our sponsors and community partners. On behalf of the Geraldton Junior Soccer Association, we would like to extend a huge thank you to Rovers Soccer Club for hosting the first five rounds of the 2026 season.

From preparing the fields each week and ensuring everything is ready for our players, coaches, referees and families, to operating the canteen and creating a welcoming environment for everyone, the Rovers volunteers have put in countless hours behind the scenes to make match days a success.

Community sport simply does not happen without volunteers. The dedication, hard work and commitment shown by the Rovers team has played a significant role in providing a positive experience for hundreds of junior players each weekend.

Thank you for your ongoing support of junior football in Geraldton. Your efforts are truly appreciated by the GJSA, our clubs, players and families. 💙⚽

The Geraldton Junior Soccer Association is inviting players to attend trials for the upcoming Country Week squads. This is a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself, develop your skills, make new friends, and proudly represent our region on the big stage.
