Last night, the Midwest Sports Federation hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Networking Event to celebrate and thank the amazing volunteers who keep community sport alive. π«Ά
Volunteers are the backbone of sport. Behind every game, training session, fundraiser, committee meeting, and canteen shift are people giving up their time to create opportunities for others. Without volunteers, sport simply would not exist.
We were very fortunate to have Ian Crawford - Leadership and Influence join us online to share some valuable tips and ideas on attracting, supporting, and retaining volunteers within our sporting communities. Thank you, Ian, for your time and knowledge.
A huge thank you also to Volunteering WA and Lotterywest for the grant funding which allowed this event to be provided free to our sporting community, and to the Geraldton Clay Target Club for generously allowing us to use their clubhouse for the evening.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to all volunteers across our region β your contribution does not go unnoticed.
