What an absolutely incredible turnout! 🤯👏 I’m still blown away by the numbers and the talent on display across all age groups.

📧 All teams have now been finalised and emails have been sent.
💙 Geraldton will be taking 10 full teams to represent at Country Week this year an amazing achievement for our region! 🙌

A little reminder that behind the scenes it’s just one person juggling emails 📧, phone calls 📱, Messenger messages 💬, team lists 📝, social media ect and the occasional caffeine emergency ☕😂 so please bear with me if I haven’t replied instantly!

On behalf of the Geraldton Junior Soccer Association, we would like to extend a huge thank you to Rovers Soccer Club for hosting the first five rounds of the 2026 season.

From preparing the fields each week and ensuring everything is ready for our players, coaches, referees and families, to operating the canteen and creating a welcoming environment for everyone, the Rovers volunteers have put in countless hours behind the scenes to make match days a success.

Community sport simply does not happen without volunteers. The dedication, hard work and commitment shown by the Rovers team has played a significant role in providing a positive experience for hundreds of junior players each weekend.

The Geraldton Junior Soccer Association is inviting players to attend trials for the upcoming Country Week squads. This is a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself, develop your skills, make new friends, and proudly represent our region on the big stage.

I’m absolutely gutted to be making this call, and I know many of you will be feeling the same.

This weather has been an absolute pain, but with weather warnings in place and everyone’s safety our number one priority, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this weekend’s Country Week trials.

Let’s be honest… by the time we got out there, the pitch would probably be more suited to mud wrestling than football! 🤦‍♀️⚽😂

A huge thank you to all the players, parents, coaches and volunteers for your understanding. The good news is that trials are already scheduled for next weekend, so fingers crossed Mother Nature gives us a break
