πΉThis beautiful poem created by one of my clients β¦. Itβs was very touching, and I wanted to share it with all my followers as itβs a beautiful piece of writing that gets to the heart of how life works with its trials and tribulations. We truly are just like those river stones!! π¦ππ¦
Poem: River-stone,
by Darren Gow.
Surrendered by silence, close to the sea, lessons forged, through disharmony,
shaping a future, no thought could see why, hard knocks forced out, a gentle cry, each chip and abrasion becomes the new test, of strength once held, when life was its best.
Navigating rapids, tends to forget, what comes next is heavens sent, tumbles turns direction from motion, can all stop suddenly when finding devotion, moments in silence, making no sound, made me discover, thereβs not many around, who grind each day, mis-understood, why challenges plague those, who would if they could.
Shocked and dismayed, first time thrown, too late to turn back, to life I had known, finally discoveringβ¦I am just, a river stone.
Pondering thoughts, a future not certain, not seeing behind the vailed curtain, baring witness to fish from distant past, now hopping through pastures of long green grass, a concept of nature, once seen at a glance, changed my perception of lifeβs turbulence.
One thing missing, my life had forgot,
difficult to see when in the one spot, discover the meaning of what is scene, stones are not fixed, to a river, or stream.
Once free from all fear, curses lifted, that grinds you to live a life of no riches, abundance is waiting, in searching a spot, once you discover, life started as a rock.
With that being said, I offer you this, life picks you up, and discards you again, sitting in silence, face down and alone, surrounded by thousands of river stones, each silently waiting, to fulfil their new dream with too many questioning, whatβs in it for me.
Finally I offer this one last verse, choices make this beautiful Earth, for one that does find you, face up or face down, who sits right beside you, no matter the sound, coming together, is meant to be, because God makes life lessons, for you, and for me.
