I love this book, Psycho-Cybernetics, written by a plastic surgeon. He realised it was pointless changing peoples' outward appearance if they didn't change their self concept. So while he 'fixed' their nose or reduced their size, if they didn't adapt to see themselves in a new light, it was a wasted effort. And so it is with life. It is our perceptions that affect how we view ourselves and the world. I love neurofeedback because it makes it easier to accept the real, authentic you. It actually makes it easier to recognise the real you, faults, talents and all.

Being kind to your mind means stop wasting energy on pointless worry and negative thoughts. Enjoy nature. Be calm. Take a break from all the digital inputs and just allow yourself some quiet time. It may be difficult at first, so do it in short bursts. But if you can, extend them as you go. Take a walk along the beach or near the bush or even just looking at the neighbours gardens, but do it without headphones. A walking companion is fine. Enjoy just being.

The journey of 1,000 miles (kms) starts with the first step. So it is in life. Whatever you want to achieve, break it down into bite size chunks and start. Don't wait for the perfect time. Don't put unrealistic expectations on yourself. Slow and steady will get you there. Good luck.😊

I'm a lawn bowler (any sport will do). And once you master the basics of the game, it's between the ears that counts - your mindset. This will determine your outcome to a very large degree. And it is the same with life. Try a little experiment. Face the day positively and with a smile on your face. I think you'll have a more pleasant day because of it.
There's an old saying, "You'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar." And it's true. If you're on the 'phone wanting to sort out an issue, do it with a smile on your face and in your voice. The person on the other end is much more likely to be helpful if you do.
If you have a positive and happy outlook on life (mindset) I'm sure you will find life will treat you more kindly. Let me know your thoughts on the subject.
