Show Horse Collective Victoria has made the difficult decision to cancel the SHCV Classic, scheduled for 31 October – 1 November 2026 at Werribee Park.

Unfortunately, the event clashes with six regional agricultural shows. When setting our dates, we did not give enough consideration to the regional show calendar.

Regional agricultural shows are an important part of showing across Victoria, and we recognise the need to support these events rather than draw competitors, volunteers and sponsors away from them.

All entered competitors have been contacted directly regarding refunds. If you have entered and have not heard from us, please email [email protected].

FESTIVAL OF CHAMPIONS 2027

While we are disappointed not to be proceeding with our October event, we are incredibly excited to turn our attention to the 2027 Festival of Champions, taking place from Friday 22 January to Sunday 24 January 2027 at Werribee Park.

We are planning three spectacular days of competition, bringing all the glitz, glamour and excitement back to the show horse arena!

The Festival will feature an exciting program of Show Horse competition, including our Off The Track section, with prestigious championships, beautiful championship rugs, fantastic prizes and generous prize money on offer.

Our vision is to deliver a truly memorable event that celebrates our competitors, showcases our beautiful horses and creates an atmosphere everyone will want to be part of.

Entries will open in early November via Nominate, with the full program and further announcements to follow.

A sincere thank you to our wonderful sponsors, competitors and volunteers for your continued support.

We have some exciting plans for January and look forward to welcoming everyone to Werribee Park for the 2027 Festival of Champions!

📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE — SHCV CLASSIC SHOW

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the SHCV Committee has made the difficult decision to defer the upcoming SHCV Classic Show.

This decision has not been made lightly, but the best interests of our exhibitors, horses and everyone involved with the event must come first.

We are pleased to confirm that the SHCV Classic Show has been rescheduled to:

📅 Saturday 31 October & Sunday 1 November 2026
📍 Werribee Equestrian Centre

We understand that a change of date may be disappointing and inconvenient for some competitors, and we sincerely apologise for the disruption.

We remain incredibly excited about delivering the SHCV Classic Show and everything we have planned — our new judging and scoring system, fantastic prizes, new classes and, most importantly, a great weekend of showing.

Further information regarding existing entries, refunds/credits and the rescheduled event will be communicated directly to competitors shortly.

Thank you to our competitors, sponsors, judges and supporters for your understanding and continued support of SHCV. 🖤💛

We look forward to welcoming you to Werribee on 31 October & 1 November. 🐴✨

💙 In Loving Memory of Dior 💙

Some horses leave an impact that can never be measured in ribbons or titles alone.

Dior was Ayda Paterson’s heart horse, a remarkable gelding whose partnership with Ayda created memories that will be treasured forever. Together they celebrated many wonderful achievements, including their unforgettable success as Grand National Champion Rider.

This year, the Champion Small Open Hack at the SHCV Classic Show will be sponsored in memory of Dior by the Paterson family.

Thank you to the Paterson family for choosing to honour Dior’s memory by supporting the SHCV Classic Show. We are privileged to celebrate his life and legacy with you.
