Big weekend in Warrnambool for our travelling crew. 🌊 11 Hurricanes raced across two days at the Forty Winks June SC Meet, and they came home with plenty to be proud of.
The crew posted 32 personal-best swims and raced 29 events for the first time. Across the two days, 39 swims met a Road to Brisbane star standard — from a swimmer's first 1-star Competitive time right up to a 4-star National Pathway swim.
There were a handful of races that ended in a turn DQ. Mistakes happen under pressure, so we'll make sure we nail those turns at training.
Thank you to every family who made the long drive down. We all had a great time.

Congratulations to Ainsley from the Junior squad, who achieved an overall 3rd-place finish in the 9& Under girls category over the weekend.

Meet our new strength coach tomorrow night at 5:00 PM.
Simon will be working with the Senior and District Teams twice a week, on Tuesday evenings and Friday mornings, to develop their overall core strength, balance, and athletic ability.
He will also be teaching Coach Evan, Aaron, and Anais' programs to give the Junior Team a higher-quality strength regimen.

Note: There will be an increase in squad fees to bring Simon on board; notice will be sent out later this week.
