Sunday afternoon creek mission for the Namoi Dragons 🐉

While we were down in the water, we spotted these tyres sitting in the creek and couldn’t leave them there. A bit of teamwork later and they’re out where they belong. 💪

It might seem like a small thing, but every bit of rubbish removed helps keep our creek cleaner for wildlife, paddlers, and the whole community.

Proud of this crew always looking after our patch of the Namoi.

🌭🐉 Sausage Sizzle Today! 🐉🌭

Come down to Bunnings today and grab a sausage sandwich while supporting the Namoi Dragons Dragon Boat Team!

Our team is cooking up the classic Bunnings snags, so swing by, say hello, and help support your local dragon boat club. Every sausage sold helps our paddlers with equipment, travel, and keeping the club strong in our community.

Bring your friends, bring your family, and grab a snag for a great cause!

See you there! 🌭🚣‍♀️🐉

A big thank you to Craddocks and the Whiddon Group for their generous donations in support of our trivia night back in October.

Your contributions helped make the night a great success and directly support the ongoing activities of the Namoi Dragons. Community support like this means the world to our club, and we’re incredibly grateful.

Thank you for getting behind local sport and a fun community event 💙

The Namoi Dragons would like to sincerely thank Nutrien Ag Solutions and Growth Agriculture for their generous sponsorship supporting our regatta participation.

Your support helps get our paddlers on the water, represent our region, and compete at regattas throughout the season. We truly appreciate you backing our club and supporting sporting groups in our community.

Thank you for helping the Dragons paddle forward 💙🚣‍♀️

This is interesting.

The Power Zone (10–60s: Anaerobic Glycolytic System)

⚡ “Where technique fails - fatigue isn’t just physical.”

Between 10–60 seconds, the anaerobic glycolytic system dominates - glucose burns without oxygen, producing lactic acid.

This builds lactate tolerance but also challenges the brain.

🧠 Dr. Andrew Huberman calls this neural friction - when your CNS starts to slow under high fatigue.

That “heavy” feeling isn’t weakness - it’s your brain struggling to maintain motor precision.

Train it like this:
🔥 6 × 30–45 sec intervals (1:4 rest ratio)
💪 Power from core + lat, not arms
🎯 Focus: Hold form under fatigue

Coach cue:

“Hold pressure - feel the load through the water, not in your shoulders.”

💬 How does your crew train to keep form under fatigue?
