A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am in Richley Recreation Reserve, New Lambton. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.
Blackbutt parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. Blackbutt parkrun is FREE and open to people of all standards and ages, both as volunteers and as runners / walkers. We encourage people of every ability to take part, from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians, from juniors 5 years

WE DID IT AGAIN CHAMPIONS! We started the weekend in the right way!
Congratulations to Jeff who did his 400th parkrun, Happy 84th Birthday Maurice, and welcome to visitors from Singleton and Macquarie University parkruns (they came to try out the BEST PARKRUN IN THE WOOORRRRLLLD!!)
I’m sure you didn’t forget to put your name on the board to volunteer in future, but if you did forget, you can check the roster on our website and email us with what role you want to do and the date you want to do it!
Well done everyone. Sorry about the mess up with the results. Official times are now correct. Hope to see you all back soon.

Winter parkrun time.
167 today enjoyed a cool start and then a glorious sun drenched finish.
Some super tourists joined us from Brisbane and a PB for someone running in a full tracksuit (fully regretted that clothing choice by the end).
Best way to start the weekend.
