This Father’s Day, we’re inviting all of our Nova fathers, grandfathers, father figures and special people to step into the studio and experience the magic alongside their dancer. 🤍
On Saturday 5 September, all Nova City Ballet classes (excluding Performance Groups) will be open for parent participation.
Whether you’ve danced before or have two left feet, we’d love to see you join in and make some special memories together.
These classes are always a highlight of the year, and we can’t wait to welcome our Nova families into the studio.

🎬 Inside the Studio | Miss Lillia
At Nova, we’re passionate about developing well-rounded dancers, and that means looking beyond technique alone.
This week, Miss Lillia took our Pre-Professional students through targeted glute and hamstring strengthening exercises, drawing on her expertise as a qualified Pilates instructor. 💪🏻
She also led an important discussion on recovery, encouraging students to think about how they cool down after training and why it plays such a vital role in performance, injury prevention, and longevity.
It’s these extra moments of education that help our dancers train smarter, recover better, and continue striving for excellence every day.

Last night, Lewis Nicholson was named the winner of the Sydney Eisteddfod Senior Ballet Scholarship. 🏆
An achievement of this calibre is the result of years of unwavering dedication, resilience and an incredible passion for the art form. To see Lewis recognised on one of Australia’s most prestigious stages is something we are immensely proud of.
Lewis, congratulations on this remarkable achievement. Watching your journey has been a privilege, and this moment is so richly deserved. As you prepare for your next chapter, we know this is only the beginning of what promises to be an extraordinary career.
Congratulations also to Mr Jake Burden, Miss Emma Burden and the entire Nova faculty, whose guidance and belief continue to inspire our students to strive for excellence.

🌟 Congratulations, Lottie!
A huge congratulations to Lottie Kelly on being selected as a Finalist at the Australian Classical Challenge Canberra.
This is an outstanding achievement, particularly as one of the youngest dancers in the section and in her very first competition at this level. Lottie approached the experience with courage, determination and beautiful artistry, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything she has accomplished.
Congratulations, Lottie. We can’t wait to see what comes next! 🤍
