New Paddles for our “Kids in Need” program!

For every hour on the water, the canoes need a lot of tlc off the water.
Whether it’s a full blown refurb- like our OC4, or a spit and polish on a Kamanu!!
What better team work exercise than a working bee: “wax on, wax off grasshopper!”

A LITTLE WIN

The mighty Burleigh Point Outriggers were cut off from water — making it super difficult to keep their gear clean and in top condition.

I raised their plight with the Sports Minister and got the problem sorted with the help of the Rec Centre team.

They now have their own tap within reach!

It’s only a small thing — but I know it will make a real difference to this great community group.

It’s on again folks; a giant Sausage Sizzle day! Bunnings is just going off this morning; we all smell like sausages and we’ve cranked up the music!

A nice paddle up Talle Creek with Leon Rebello MP today. Leon is our Federal Member for McPherson, and could be a handy member of the team if he ever quits his day job!
