Burleigh Point Outriggers Outrigger Canoe Club, Qld,Australia The sport has come of age in Australia.

The future potential of the sport in this country is endless because of the climate and coastal environments that provide us with all manner of ocean conditions in which to play, practice and ultimately excel in outrigger canoe racing. Friendships, health, fitness, an affinity with an aquatics environment and a cultural education will be fostered, along with a deeper sense of self obtained by meeting the very special demands that outrigger canoe racing and paddling makes on the paddler, providing the fuel for your long term involvement with the sport.

🌊 COME PADDLE WITH BURLEIGH POINT OUTRIGGERS 🌊

Burleigh Point Outrigger Canoe Club has been part of our local paddling community for more than two decades, and we would love to welcome you onto the water.

We need you! If you have never paddled before, come and give it a try. If you used to paddle and have been thinking about coming back, we would love to see you again.

Paddling gets you moving, helps clear your head and connects you with people who look out for one another. In this crazy world, that sense of community can mean so much. 💛

We paddle on Saturday mornings, Tuesday mornings and afternoons, and Thursday afternoons.

Contact us here and we will let you know the session times and how to join us. You might just find your new favourite place to be! 🌊

The Road to Glory - The mature Burleigh Girls

Not only do we have our Open Burleigh women representing Australia in Singapore this week, but we also have a team of 75+ girls ready to conquer the 2026 World Sprints.
I paddled with these girls at the Aussie Nationals last year and had difficulty keeping up with them, and knowing the training effort they have put in, they have only got better and better!
Go you Good Things! We applaud you! 🛶🛶 🎉🎉🍾🍾

The Road to Glory - our Big Burleigh Girls!

Two weeks out from the World Sprint Championships, we asked the Burleigh women representing Australia (Elite Open Womens crew), how they were really feeling.

Overwhelmed. Tired. Excited. Still figuring things out.

Behind every race is the part most people don't see - the early mornings, work, travel, pressure, sacrifice and the constant pursuit of getting a little better.

The work is done. The girls are now in Singapore.

Now we race. 🇦🇺
