There's more than one way to train with Carolyn

Finding the right way to exercise isn't just about choosing a workout.

It's about finding something that fits your life, your needs and the support you're looking for.

At In 2 Life Fitness, there are a few ways we can work together.

**Personal training:** Individual coaching tailored to your goals, with personalised programming, technique guidance and accountability. Support with nutrition, mindset, stress and sleep.

**Semi-private personal training:** The personal attention of PT in a small group of no more than three, with coaching and support along the way.

**Live from-home sessions:** Short, coached workouts you can join from home, without travelling to a gym. You can train alongside other women and access a replay if you miss a session.

My approach across all three is the same. I want you to feel comfortable, supported and confident that your training suits you.

You don't need to be super fit before you start, and you don't need to know what you're doing before you walk through my studio door or join a session from home.

That's what I'm here for.

If you've been thinking about getting back into exercise, or finding a more personal approach, send me a message or click here to book a free consult over the phone.

You don't need to finish every workout exhausted

Do you ever feel like a workout only counts if you're absolutely exhausted afterwards?

Let's put that idea to rest.

A good workout doesn't have to leave you flat on the couch for the rest of the day.

Strength training should challenge you, but that challenge needs to be appropriate for your current fitness, experience and goals.

Sometimes we'll increase the weight. Sometimes we'll improve your technique, control or range of movement. And sometimes the smartest choice is to adjust the session to suit how you're feeling that day.

Getting stronger is about what you can build over time, not how exhausted you can make yourself in 30 minutes.

Especially when you're juggling work, family and everything else life throws at you, you want exercise to help you feel more capable in everyday life, not leave you with nothing in the tank.

**You don't need to punish yourself to make progress. You need a plan that helps you progress.**

That's how I approach training with my clients.

What years of coaching women have taught me

After years of working with women, there's one thing I know for sure.

No two women are the same.

I've worked with women at different stages of life, with different goals, different experiences and different challenges.

Some want to feel stronger. Some want more energy. Some want to improve their mobility or confidence. Some want to feel healthier and lose fat. Others simply want to make time for themselves again.

And what works for one woman might not be right for another.

That's why I don't believe in handing everyone the same workout and expecting the same results.

I want to understand the person I'm working with, what she's aiming for and what might get in her way.

Because good coaching isn't just about knowing which exercises to prescribe.

It's about listening, adapting and helping someone move forward from where she is right now.

That's the part of my job I love most.

Helping women realise they can get stronger, build confidence and keep doing the things that matter to them.

And there's no single age or stage of life when that stops being possible

Let's be honest. Sometimes the hardest part of exercise isn't the workout.

It's actually showing up.

It's finding the time, getting changed, travelling to the gym and convincing yourself to go when your day has already been full.

And when you're busy juggling work, family and everything else life throws at you, exercise can easily end up at the bottom of the list.

That's one of the reasons I offer live from-home sessions.

You can join me from home for a 30-minute workout, with coaching, guidance and other women exercising alongside you.

No travelling. No wandering around a gym wondering what to do. No need to pack up the baby and car. And no need to carve out half your day just to exercise.

You have a time in your diary, you log in, and I take care of the workout.

And if life gets in the way and you miss a session, there's a replay available.

It's a practical way to make exercise part of your week, rather than something you keep meaning to get around to.

Because consistency doesn't come from having a perfect week.

It comes from finding a way to keep showing up.

**If you'd like to know more about my from-home sessions, send me a message.**

One thing I want every woman who trains with me to know.

You don't have to keep up with anyone else.

Not the woman next to you.

Not the person you see on social media.

And certainly not the version of yourself you were 10 or 20 years ago.

When I coach a session, I take into account where you're starting, how you're moving, your experience, and anything that might need to be modified.

Sometimes that means changing an exercise.

Sometimes it means adjusting the weight, slowing down or working on technique before making things harder.

And sometimes, it means recognising that what you could do last week isn't quite right for you today.

That's not failing. That's training intelligently.

My job isn't to make every woman do the same thing.

It's to help each woman work towards becoming stronger and more capable in a way that suits her.

Your training should meet you where you are, then help you move forward.

Something you might not know about me...

My own fitness journey started long before I became a Personal Trainer.

At 43, I found myself carrying more weight than I was comfortable with, feeling tired and overwhelmed, and struggling to find the energy I wanted to be an active mother for my daughter.

I decided I needed to do something for myself, and over 12 weeks I lost more than 12kg.

But what mattered most wasn't the number. It was having more energy, feeling better and realising I could make changes even when life was busy.

That experience has stayed with me throughout my career.

Because I know how easy it is to put yourself last when you're looking after everyone else.

It's one of the reasons I want the women I work with to understand that looking after their health isn't selfish, and it doesn't have to mean turning their whole life upside down.

Small, realistic changes can make a real difference.

You don't need to do everything perfectly. You just need to start somewhere.

Have you ever found yourself putting everyone else first and leaving yourself until last?

This isn't a big commercial gym.

And that's exactly how I like it.

In 2 Life Fitness is my small, private studio in Point Cook, where I work with women from the local area or online live, who want a more personal approach to training.

There are no rows of machines.

No waiting for equipment.

No feeling like everyone is watching you.

And no wandering around wondering what you're supposed to do next.

When you train with me, I know who you are, what we're working on and where we're going next.

Your program is built around you.

Your exercises can be modified when you need them to be.

And I'll be there to make sure you're doing them properly.

But you don't have to live in Point Cook to train with me.

I also work with women from further afield via Zoom, so you can get the same personalised coaching and accountability without having to travel to the studio.

Whether you're walking through my studio door or joining me from your home, my approach is the same.

Personalised. Supportive. Non-judgemental.

And focused on helping you get stronger and fitter in a way that works for your body and your life.

That's what I wanted to create with In 2 Life Fitness.

A place where women can get stronger without feeling intimidated, and where fitness feels personal again.

If you're local and would like to train with me in the studio, or you're further away and would prefer to train online, send me a message and let's have a chat about what you're looking for.

One of the biggest differences between exercising on your own and having a Personal Trainer isn't the exercise.

It's having someone who is actually watching.

When I coach an exercise, I'm not just counting repetitions.

I'm looking at how you're moving.

I'm checking your technique, your range of movement, how the exercise feels, and whether it is actually appropriate for you.

And sometimes I'll change the exercise completely.

Maybe you've got an old injury.

Maybe you're having a day where something doesn't feel quite right.

Maybe you've progressed and it's time to make things more challenging.

Or maybe you simply haven't mastered the movement yet and we need to slow things down.

That's what personalised training means to me.

You don't have to fit yourself into my workout.

The workout needs to fit you.

And that's a big part of why I love working in a small, private studio.

I can actually coach you, rather than just give you a program and tell you to get on with it.

Because good training isn't about doing more.

It's about doing what is right for you, and doing it well.

It's Friday, so I'm setting you a little challenge for the weekend!

And NO...

I'm not asking you to run 10km or spend two hours in the gym. 😂

Your challenge is simply to complete THREE out of these FIVE:

🚶 Go for a 30-minute walk.
💪 Do a strength workout.
🧘 Spend 10 minutes stretching or working on mobility.
☀️ Get outside and move your body.
😊 Do something active purely because you ENJOY it.

Walk the dog.
Garden.
Dance around the house.
Go for a bike ride.
Head to the beach.

It ALL counts.

The goal isn't to burn as many calories as possible.
It's simply to MOVE MORE.

Because one of the easiest places to start if you'd like to feel fitter, healthier and more comfortable in your clothes by summer is to increase the amount of movement in your week.

And if you're thinking...

"I'd do more exercise if I didn't have to drive somewhere to do it..."

That's exactly why my live Online Group Fitness sessions are only 30 minutes from home.

I'll tell you what to do. 😄
Workout done.

If you'd like some details about joining my Online groups, send me STRONG in a private message and I'll send you the information.

Otherwise...

Who's taking on my 3-out-of-5 weekend challenge? 🙋‍♀️

Come back and tell me how many you managed! 💚
